In an interview with Sportskeeda’s Mark Medina, Trayce Jackson-Davis said Warriors coach Steve Kerr wants him to be “more offensive-minded” next season.
Jackson-Davis began his rookie season on the fringe of the Warriors’ rotation but eventually earned the opportunity to start down the stretch. He started Golden State’s final ten regular season games, and it’s fair to expect a similar role for TJD in 2024-25. According to Jackson-Davis, Kerr wants him to be more of a playmaker in the dunker spot, among other things. "(Kerr) said he wanted me to be a force. He wanted me to attack the glass like I did last year,” Jackson-Davis said when describing his exit interview. “But he wants even more than that. He wants me to be more offensive-minded and continue to make plays out of the dunker (spot), almost like the way (Domantas) Sabonis plays.” This is great news for fantasy managers aiming to select Jackson-Davis in drafts, as an expanded role will only increase his value. Even with the Warriors bringing Kevon Looney back, the starting center job will be TJD’s to lose going into training camp.
