Alperen Sengun stuffed the stat sheet on Tuesday with 22 points (9-of-23 FGs), 10 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and three blocks in a 117-111 win over the Timberwolves in overtime.
Sengun did a little bit of everything on his way to his third triple-double of the season. His field goal percentage has been an issue this season, and that held true in this game. He is shooting 47.3% this year, which is a steep drop from 53.7% last season. Still, just like in this game, Sengun has been able to consistently produce in every other category, which has resulted in him providing third-round value so far this season. He has truly taken a step forward this season, especially on the defensive end, which has been a big reason for the team’s early success.
