Carlisle also noted that the starting lineup hasn’t been decided, so there isn’t much to look into here, aside from Jackson seemingly getting the first chance at the role. Jay Huff will also compete for the job, and he has nearly a month to prove he deserves it. Both will be breakout candidates this season, assuming they both play significant roles.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Skal Labissière has signed a 10-day contract with the Wizards.

Labissière logged three appearances with the Kings last season, and he’s spent this season with Washington’s G League affiliate, the Capitol City Go-Go. The big man has performed well in the G League, and he could earn some rotational minutes behind Alex Sarr until Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic are back on the court. Labissière isn’t a player to target on the waiver wire.

Quinten Post finished Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves with 13 points (5-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, one block and three three-pointers.

Post logged 28 minutes in the Warriors’ blowout loss to the Wolves and finished as Golden State’s leading scorer. He was one of five starters to score in double figures, with his three-point production leading the way. Despite being one of the Warriors’ more productive players on Monday, fantasy managers shouldn’t come away from this game with any new thoughts on Post — he remains a low-floor option in fantasy leagues whose value is tied to his three-point shot.

Brandin Podziemski

GSW Guard #2

Brandim Podziemski totaled 12 points (4-of-13 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds and four assists in the loss to the Timberwolves on Monday.

Podziemski was one of the limited regular starters who was available to play in Monday’s game. In his 28 minutes, inefficient shooting limited his scoring production, but it was enough to get him into double figures on the evening. The third-year guard also contributed on the glass and was one of Golden State’s best distributors on Monday. He wasn’t at his best in this game, but he will have plenty of opportunities going forward to log some big stat lines.
