Al Horford (sciatica) is probable for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
Horford is back on the injury report, but the probable tag suggests that he’s closer to being available than not. With Draymond Green (rest) ruled out, Horford may be asked to do a bit more, but the playing time won’t change much, if at all.

Jamaree Bouyea (concussion) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Heat.
Bouyea will once again be sidelined due to his presence in the league’s concussion protocol. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball.
Evaluating McCollum's potential role with Hawks
Following CJ McCollum's debut with the Hawks, Noah Rubin evaluates the veteran guard's potential role in Atlanta.
  • CHI Guard #3
Josh Giddey (hamstring) participated in portions of Monday’s non-contact practice.
Giddey being able to do some work during Monday’s practice is a step in the right direction. However, he still wasn’t a full participant in the non-contact session. Based on the timeline provided on December 31, Giddey should be re-evaluated sometime this week. While he’s sidelined, Tre Jones will continue to serve as the starting point guard alongside Coby White.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards (foot) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Bucks.
Edwards played both halves of a back-to-back over the weekend, tallying 23 points in Sunday’s win over the Spurs. The 24-year-old shooting guard has already been ruled out for Tuesday’s game for right foot injury maintenance. Bones Hyland and Mike Conley are likely to see increased roles with Edwards sidelined.
  • MIL Center-Forward #3
Myles Turner (illness) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Turner is on the injury report as questionable with an illness. He has plenty of time to recover before game-time. If the 29-year-old center were to miss Tuesday’s game, Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis would be candidates to move into the starting lineup.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell (back) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Suns.
Powell did not play in Sunday’s loss to the Thunder, leading to Pelle Larsson moving into the starting lineup. In 28 minutes, the second-year wing tallied 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer. Larsson will take on a similar role of Powell can’t play against the Suns.
  • CHA Guard #21
Pat Connaughton (illness) is out for Monday’s matchup with the Clippers.
Connaughton will miss a second straight game due to illness, but his availability isn’t impactful in the realm of fantasy hoops.
  • CHI Guard #0
Coby White (calf) is out for Tuesday’s matchup with the Rockets.
White will get a maintenance day on the first leg of Chicago’s back-to-back set, which isn’t surprising. In White’s absence, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter and Ayo Dosunmu are all candidates for increased run.
  • TOR Guard #14
Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) has been downgraded to out for Monday’s matchup with the 76ers.
Walter, who was initially left off Monday’s injury report, will sit out after suffering a right hip pointer on Sunday. In his absence, more playing time should be available for the likes of Alijah Martin, Ochai Agbaji and Gradey Dick.
  • NOP Guard #15
According to columnist Rod Walker, Pelicans interim coach James Borrego said that Jose Alvarado (oblique) “closer to two weeks away.”
Alvarado has been out for three straight games, and his absence will extend through at least the end of January. Until Alvarado returns, Jordan Poole and Bryce McGowens should see additional playing time, while Jeremiah Fears continues to hold things down in the first unit.
  • DAL Forward-Center #21
Daniel Gafford (ankle) is questionable for Monday’s matchup with the Nets.
Gafford is a late addition to the injury report due to a right ankle sprain, which doesn’t bode well for his availability against Brooklyn. With Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II already on the shelf, Moussa Cisse could see a much larger role at center, while PJ Washington and Naji Marshall soak up frontcourt minutes for the shorthanded Mavs.
