Dylan Harper powered the Spurs to a 123-113 win over the Pacers on Friday, amassing 22 points (9-of-15 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block over 29 minutes off the bench.
Harper played a more prominent role for the Spurs in their first action without franchise cornerstone Victor Wembanyama after he suffered a hyperextended left knee earlier this week. The 19-year-old rookie connected on 8-of-12 shots from inside the arc and shot 60 percent overall on the night, finishing just two points shy of matching his previous career-high mark set back on December 18. The second-overall pick from last summer’s NBA Draft has shown flashes of elite scoring potential but he hasn’t quite arrived as a consistent and reliable fantasy option at this stage of his development.
