Deni Avdija accumulated 34 points (10-of-19 FGs, 11-of-14 FTs), seven rebounds, 11 assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Pelicans.
Avdija has recorded a double-double in three of his last four games, but this was his first with at least 30 points in over a month. The Trail Blazers’ forward continues to flourish despite being thrust into a lead playmaker role that he had seldom taken on in the past. Another positive for fantasy managers on Friday was that Avdija only committed two turnovers; that category has been problematic at times. Portland ends its Week 11 schedule with a game against the Spurs on Saturday.

Kevin Porter Jr. (oblique) will miss Tuesday’s game against the 76ers.
Porter Jr. is set to miss his third straight game after injuring his oblique against the Hawks on January 19. The versatile combo guard has been limited to 23 games thus far, thanks to various injuries. While he is sidelined, Ryan Rollins will remain in the starting point guard position, taking on primary ball-handling and playmaking responsibilities. Cole Anthony should continue seeing quality minutes and opportunities off the bench.
Highlights: Miller scores 30, Hornets crush 76ers
The Charlotte Hornets blew out the visiting Philadelphia 76ers to the tune of 130-93, powered by Brandon Miller's 19-point third quarter and six 3-pointers en route to a 30-point showing when all was said and done.
  • PHI Guard #20
Jared McCain accumulated 16 points (6-of-13 FGs), three rebounds, three assists and four three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Hornets.
  • PHI Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey amassed six points (3-of-12 FGs), two rebounds, seven assists and one steal in Monday’s loss to the Hornets.
With Joel Embiid and Paul George sitting out due to injury management, many likely expected a big afternoon from Maxey. Unfortunately for him and the 76ers, the Hornets had other ideas. Maxey had one of his worst games of the season, missing all three of his three-point attempts and shooting 33.3 percent from inside the arc. The seven assists were nice, but fantasy managers are left to hope that Maxey bounces back on Tuesday against the Bucks.
  • PHI Forward-Guard #9
Kelly Oubre Jr. finished Monday’s loss to the Hornets with 17 points (7-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, two steals and one three-pointer.
Oubre was the lone 76ers starter in double figures on Monday, continuing a nice run of production for him. Rostered in 31 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been close to a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. As long as Oubre is in the starting lineup, he’ll be worth rostering in deep leagues and some standard ones as well.
  • CHA Center #11
Ryan Kalkbrenner produced 13 points (6-of-8 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in Monday’s win over the 76ers.
Due to Monday’s game being a blowout, Kalkbrenner (26 minutes) played more than starter Moussa Diabaté (12 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes). The rookie finished one rebound shy of a double-double, and the overall production was excellent. Kalkbrenner’s fantasy ceiling is lower than it was earlier this season since he’s coming off the bench, but the 7-foot-1 center is still playing consistent rotation minutes.
  • CHA Guard-Forward #7
Kon Knueppel tallied 12 points (5-of-9 FGs), eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Monday’s win over the 76ers.
Like the other Hornets starters, Knueppel’s playing time decreased because Monday’s game was a blowout. The rookie logged 20 minutes, negatively affecting his production. However, fantasy managers still received solid value in the rebound, assist and steal categories. Knueppel, who has been one of the best rookies in the NBA this season, returns to action on Wednesday when the Hornets visit Memphis.
  • CHA Guard #1
LaMelo Ball amassed 11 points (4-of-12 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Monday’s win over the 76ers.
Recently, the Hornets have taken measures to manage Ball’s workload, so the training staff must have loved Monday’s outcome. Charlotte won by a large margin, beating the 76ers 130-93, which led to Ball playing only 20 minutes. Fantasy managers who have him rostered would have hoped for a more competitive game given the impact on Ball’s playing time, but keeping him healthy throughout the season is Charlotte’s priority.
  • CHA Forward #24
Brandon Miller finished Monday’s rout of the 76ers with 30 points (9-of-12 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and six three-pointers.
Monday’s game was one of the best of the season for Miller, and not just because he notched his third 30-point game. The third-year wing only needed to attempt 12 shots from the field to get the job done, shooting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. And with the Hornets leading by as much as 50, Miller did not play at all during the fourth quarter. He’s been on a roll recently, having scored at least 20 points in seven consecutive games.
  • DEN Guard #8
Peyton Watson (ankle) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
With Watson unavailable for Friday’s win over the Bucks, Spencer Jones moved into the starting lineup. Since Denver won’t have Aaron Gordon on Tuesday, Jones may remain with the starters, pushing Zeke Nnaji to the bench if Jonas Valančiūnas plays.
  • Jonas Valančiūnas (calf) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
Valančiūnas did not play in Friday’s win over the Bucks, which prompted Zeke Nnaji to move into the starting lineup. With Aaron Gordon (hamstring) out, Nnaji’s playing time may remain high, but he could be asked to come off the bench.
