Jaime Jaquez Jr. (ankle) is available for Thursday’s game against the Bulls.
Jaquez has missed Miami’s last two games with a sprained ankle, robbing the Heat of a key reserve. His return affects Nikola Jović and Pelle Larsson, as their opportunities stand to decrease with Miami back to full strength.

Jonas Valančiūnas returned to the lineup on Thursday and contributed 16 points (6-of-13 FGs), nine rebounds and two assists against the Wizards.
Valančiūnas was back in the lineup after missing the past few weeks, and he immediately started and played 22 minutes. He got off to a hot start, scoring eight points in the first three minutes. He wasn’t quite as effective the rest of the way, but it was important for Denver to have him back out on the floor. This was the first leg of a back-to-back, so don’t expect Valančiūnas to be available to take on Milwaukee on Friday. That should mean a return to the starting lineup for Spencer Jones.
Highlights: Watson's career night buries Wizards
Peyton Watson scores a career-high 35 points to help the Nuggets grind out a road win against Washington.
  • DAL Guard #00
Max Christie produced 21 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.
  • DAL Forward #13
Naji Mashall accumulated 30 points (10-of-12 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, nine assists and two three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.
  • CHA Forward #24
Brandon Miller led the Hornets on Thursday with 20 points (8-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in a 124-97 win over the Magic.
Miller got hot late in the third quarter and scored 11 points over the final six minutes of the frame. He didn’t do any more scoring in the fourth quarter, but he didn’t need to due to the lopsided score. This was his fifth straight game scoring at least 20 points, which is his longest stretch of the season. He has shot the ball more efficiently in recent weeks, which has helped his value. He’ll look to stay hot against the Wizards on Saturday.
  • CHA Guard #8
Collin Sexton provided a boost off the bench with 19 points (6-of-7 FGs), four assists, two steals and three three-pointers against the Magic on Thursday.
Sexton has been a consistent source of offense off the bench for the Hornets this season, but that hasn’t led to much production for fantasy managers. However, he was incredibly efficient in this game, which led to his highest field goal percentage in a game this year. Sexton hasn’t been worth rostering in standard leagues this season, and that won’t change just because of one solid performance. Unless he’s starting consistently, he should be left on the waiver wire in standard leagues.
  • CHA Guard #1
LaMelo Ball started on Thursday and finished with 16 points (6-of-12 FGs), six rebounds, seven assists, one block and four three-pointers against the Magic on Thursday.
Ball got off to a hot start for Charlotte, scoring eight of their first 11 points and assisting on the other three. He didn’t stay that hot, but he was back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Wednesday. He logged 28 minutes after playing 22 minutes on Wednesday. The limited minutes may get frustrating during these back-to-backs, but Ball has been able to stay healthy for about the past month, which can only be seen as a positive.
  • ORL Guard-Forward #93
Noah Penda stuffed the stat sheet on Thursday with 13 points (5-of-6 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers against the Hornets.
Penda had a quiet two-game stretch after a short stint as a temporary starter, but he was able to showcase his upside once again in this game. He has been able to make a big impact on defense, and he has been a better shooter than anticipated. He was able to take on a larger role with Franz Wagner (ankle) sidelined, but when Wagner is available, Penda simply won’t play enough to be worth rostering. However, he holds plenty of upside in dynasty formats.
  • HOU Center #28
Alperen Şengün amassed 13 points (5-of-15 FGs, 2-of-7 FTs), eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, two blocks and one three-pointer in Thursday’s loss to the 76ers.
While Şengün finished Thursday’s overtime defeat with a complete stat line, the efficiency was lacking. He shot 33.3 percent from the field and even worse from the foul line, struggling to get much going against the 76ers’ center rotation. Nights like Thursday haven’t been the norm for Şengün, but he’ll have another difficult matchup on Friday when the Rockets visit the Pistons.
  • HOU Guard-Forward #1
Amen Thompson accumulated 17 points (7-of-11 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, nine assists and three steals in Thursday’s loss to the 76ers.
Thompson’s improved field-goal percentage has given his fantasy value a welcome boost recently. Over the past two weeks, he’s shot 52.3 percent from the field, one reason why the Rockets’ guard/forward has been provided top-50 per-game value during this run. Obviously, fantasy managers have to put three-pointers when rostering Thompson, but there’s a lot that he brings to the table despite that “deficiency.”
  • HOU Forward #7
Kevin Durant accounted for 36 points (13-of-21 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and five three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the 76ers.
After totaling 36 points on 12-of-30 shooting in his previous two games, Durant equalled the points tally on Thursday. However, while the shooting was highly efficient, he was responsible for a season-high eight turnovers. That may be a byproduct of Houston’s lack of a stable point guard, as Durant was left to navigate Philadelphia’s defensive pressure without much help. And things won’t get any easier for KD, as the Rockets visit the Pistons on Friday.
