ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Jaren Jackson Jr. has been traded to the Utah Jazz along with John Konchar, Vince Williams Jr. and Jock Landale for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks.
This deal is likely not the last one for either side, as the Jazz will pick up more frontcourt depth, and the Grizzlies may look to blow things up and move on from JJJ and Ja Morant. We’ll have to wait for the dust to settle, but for now, Jackson Jr.'s scoring and rebounding may take a hit, as he’ll no longer be the top offensive weapon. The Grizzlies’ frontcourt depth is nearly non-existent with Zach Edey, Santi Aldama and Brandon Clarke sidelined, so keep an eye on Memphis’ moves ahead of the trade deadline.
