Alex Sarr finished Saturday’s loss to the Thunder with 14 points (5-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers.
After totaling six points on 2-of-21 shooting from the field in his prior two appearances, Sarr desperately needed a night like Saturday. While it ended in defeat, the second-year center/forward getting untracked was a great development for the Wizards and those rostering Sarr. He has not played both games of a back-to-back since late January, which does not bode well for Sarr’s chances of playing on Sunday against the Knicks.
