  • TOR Power Forward #34
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Jontay Porter has received a lifetime ban for disclosing confidential information to bettors.
The investigation found that Porter provided health information to bettors that led them to place large wagers on his performances. The bets included successful wagers on the Raptors losing and Porter underperforming, which triggered the investigation.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #0
Javon Freeman-Liberty came away with eight points, a rebound, seven assists and two blocks across 33 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Heat.
The DePaul product averaged just under 18 minutes per game as a rookie, but over the final 11 contests, he logged 23.3 minutes and had some strong performances. He scored in double figures six times, including a career-high 20 points against Indiana on April 9. Freeman-Liberty could see an increased role in Year 2 as a key reserve for a rebuilding Toronto team, especially if Gary Trent Jr. leaves in free agency this summer.
  • TOR Small Forward #13
Jordan Nwora racked up 14 points, 11 rebounds, an assist and two three-pointers across 21 minutes in Sunday’s 118-103 loss to Miami.
Nwora came away with his second double-double of the season as he ended his fourth NBA season on a high note. He played a minimal role across 52 appearances for the Pacers and Raptors, though he saw an increase in playing time down the stretch for an injury-riddled Toronto squad. Nwora is an unrestricted free agent this summer, but no matter where he signs, it’s highly unlikely he will become a relevant fantasy option.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #0
Javon Freeman-Liberty, Gary Trent Jr., Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, and Kelly Olynyk will start Sunday’s game against Miami.
The Raptors are without Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett for their season finale, hence the additions of Freeman-Liberty and Agbaji to the starting lineup. They’re worth streaming in active fantasy leagues, and this could be an afternoon in which Trent has the ultimate “green light” due to a lack of reliable scoring options.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett (knee soreness) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Barrett was a late addition to the injury report, and it doesn’t come as a surprise that he will now sit out of a meaningless game for Toronto. Bruce Brown, Ochai Agbaji and Jordan Nwora will all take on extra minutes.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett (knee soreness) is now questionable to play against the Heat on Sunday.
Barrett wasn’t initially on the injury report, but now there is a chance that he sits out after dropping 35 points on the Heat in their last game. Bruce Brown, Ochai Agbaji and Jordan Nwora will likely soak up Barrett’s minutes if he sits.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #5
Immanuel Quickley (rest) and D.J. Carton (right ankle sprain) are out for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Carton’s continued absence does not impact fantasy basketball or the Raptors’ rotation. As for Quickley, his 2023-24 season was defined by an in-season trade from New York to Toronto. The move opened things up for the third-year guard, who provided 6th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats from January 1 onward. Quickley will be a restricted free agent this summer, and the expectation is that Toronto will do all it can to re-sign him. He’ll have a prominent role wherever he lands and is worth selecting with a middle-round pick in standard leagues.
  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk finished with eight points (3-of-7 FGs), 11 rebounds, and six assists in the Raptors’ matchup against the Heat on Friday.
Olynyk did a little bit of everything for the struggling Raptors. He should continue to thrive while Toronto has a limited number of available bigs to play.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett scored 35 points (13-of-18 FGs), hauled in 11 rebounds, dished out three assists, and made one 3-pointer in the Raptors’ Friday matchup with the Heat.
Barrett didn’t show any signs of rust after taking one game off for rest purposes earlier this week. He fell just short of his season-high for points (37) and set a new season-high mark for rebounds.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #33
Gary Trent Jr. (back spasms) and Bruce Brown (right knee inflammation) are available for Friday’s game against the Heat.
Trent’s availability is more significant, as he was a fixture in the starting lineup when he was healthy. Gradey Dick is likely headed to the bench, but the rookie will figure prominently within the Raptors’ bench rotation. Brown will also play solid minutes off the bench as Toronto looks to end its season on a high note.
