Rickea Jackson put on an incredibly efficient performance scoring the basketball during Wednesday night’s 81-80 win over the Wings accumulating 25 points (9-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), five rebounds, two steals, and six three-pointers in 33 minutes of play.
Jackson’s performance on Wednesday night was her most efficient since July 26 against the Liberty. Almost a month later, she shot an even 60 percent from the field against the Wings. When the Sparks began the game down 9-0, Jackson was who got her team back into the game. She was responsible for 73.3 percent of her team’s total offense in the first quarter, scoring 11 of the team’s 17 points. She hit two above the break three-pointers, a corner three-pointer and a reverse layup to get the Sparks back into the game. While most of Jackson’s scoring came in the first quarter, she hit shots throughout the game when her team’s offense went dry. With under four minutes left in the fourth quarter and the Wings up 75-73, Jackson hit a highly contested three-pointer over the outstretched arms of Myisha Hines-Allen which gave the Sparks the lead back.
