The 2022 No.1 overall pick now has a contract in place that proves he was worth the early selection. It also includes a player option in the fifth year. Banchero is coming off averaging 25.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.9 three-pointers per game as the Magic lost in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight season. In a weaker Eastern Conference next season, Banchero will have a chance to lead Orlando deep into the postseason. From a fantasy perspective, Banchero’s woeful shooting percentages and defensive contributions weighed him down last year and he’s likely to come off the board in the 25-50 range in drafts. Desmond Bane joining the Magic may cut Banchero’s usage in a bit in 2025-26, which may help him shoot a better percentage.

This will tie the Suns and Booker together through 2030. No surprises here, as Booker signing this extension has been a foregone conclusion for months. With Kevin Durant gone and Bradley Beal likely on his way out, the Suns will start a rebuild around Booker. Booker enters his age-29 season in 2025-26 and should be a good fantasy pick this year as the clear main option for the Suns.

Anderson played a limited role between the Warriors and Heat last season, and Love’s role was even more limited. Love is headed into his 18th season and could be moved again before the season starts. Anderson doesn’t fit with Utah’s current timeline either, so he could be on the move too. If either player remains with the Jazz, they will likely be culture veterans rather than real threats for playing time.

Collins opted into the final year of his contract, and he’ll head to the Clippers on an expiring deal. The Heat will get Norman Powell, and Kevin Love and Kyle Anderson will land in Utah along with a 2027 second-round pick. Collins should immediately slot into LA’s starting five alongside Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and Ivica Zubac. In Utah, Collins’ departure opens the door for Taylor Hendricks (assuming he’s ready to go for the start of the season) and Kyle Filipowski to see additional playing time.

The deal also sends John Collins to the Clippers, and a package of Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 second-round pick to the Jazz. Powell averaged a career-best 21.8 points and 3.0 triples per game last season, and he should enjoy a significant role in Miami’s rotation in 2025-26. Powell should push Davion Mitchell and Terry Rozier into smaller roles for Miami in 2025-26.

Paul also said that he wants to stay close to Los Angeles next year to remain closer to his family. That leaves a few potential options for where he could suit up next season. The 40-year-old point guard should still play a role next season, but there likely won’t be an ideal opportunity for him to continue to shine for fantasy managers.

The No. 5 overall pick’s Summer League debut certainly wasn’t flawless, but it was a positive step. He spent most of his time off the ball, which is a role he can be effective in immediately. He also showcased his shot-blocking ability. Even if it wasn’t the best shooting night for him, it was good to see Bailey out on the floor in a Jazz uniform and playing a role that will maximize him early on. The shots will start to fall.

What a start it was for the No. 3 pick from last month’s draft. Edgecombe was dominant in this game on both ends of the floor, and while it wasn’t enough for the 76ers to beat a Jazz team that is littered with recent first-round picks, it was a fantastic start to his Philadelphia tenure. Edgecombe will look to continue to make an impact throughout the summer after recording a double-double in 30 minutes in this game.

The Athletic’s Josh Robbins reports it will be a 2026 second rounder from Chicago and a 2029 second round from Sacramento that will be headed back to the Rockets, who needed to recoup what assets they could from the No. 20 overall pick in 2023. Whitmore showcased some scoring upside during his two seasons in Houston and will now be the latest upside swing to land with the Wizards. He’ll join a rotation that features recent first-round picks like Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly and Will Riley, as well as a veteran in Khris Middleton.
