Donovan Mitchell finished with 15 points (7-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, eight assists and one three-pointer against the Magic on Tuesday.

Mitchell played 25 minutes in this exhibition and was able to get off to a hot start, though he didn’t have as much success in his limited second-half action. Mitchell did more playmaking in this game as well and should continue to be a solid source of assists this season, though his dimes did drop off after they traded for James Harden. He’ll have nine days off before the regular season starts for them in Philadelphia next Thursday.

Naz Reid scored 12 points (5-of-17 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, an assist, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Naz Reid got the start after being benched in the second half of last game, but it looks to be a one game thing. While he didn’t fill up the box score, he still filled up the box score despite it, but it wasn’t a good performance from the Hornets as a whole. If you have Naz, be patient and don’t overreact. He won’t likely go shoot 29.4% from the field and 25% from three very often.

Moussa Diabaté scored 10 points (5-of-11 FGs), 12 rebounds, an assist, and two steals on Friday in loss.

Diabaté has been as expected this season. He has value in redraft leagues if you need some rebounding, but he hasn’t done much else besides that. From a dynasty perspective, Moussa could be someone that gets moved to a new team given the surplus of centers the Hornets have, and he should have some value given his current contract.

Brandon Miller scored 19 points (7-of-24 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, a steal, a block, and three 3-pointers in 95-79 loss to Wizards.

After having three straight good games in a row against the Heat, Wizards, and Pistons, he had another bad game. The Wizards did much better on containing Miller and Naz Reid in this game which allowed them to come away with a win against them. Don’t panic after he gave you several good games and he’ll have an opportunity to have a bounce back game tomorrow against the 76ers. The Hornets will not likely shoot 29.7% from the field tomorrow either.

Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves, Matisse Thybulle, Jake LaRavia and Walker Kessler will start Friday’s game against the Warriors.

While Dončić is back after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Clippers, Ziaire Williams will miss another game. As a result, LaRavia will remain in the starting lineup, while Dončić’s return pushes Quentin Grimes to the bench.

AJ Dybantsa in his second career game had 17 points (5-of-11 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), eight rebounds, an assist, two steals, and a three in win over the Hornets.

AJ has made an effort to work on his defense and his off-ball ability, and it has paid off in a big way. He hasn’t been nearly as ball dominant as he was in college, and the shot looks much better than it was at BYU. He’s already the third best player on the team and he will continue to climb up the hierarchy. Outside of Trae, AD, and AJ tonight, it was pretty rough from the Wizards tonight despite the win.

Anthony Davis had himself a night with 25 points (8-of-18 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and a block on Friday in win.

Anthony Davis has imposed his will on the Hornets centers in this game, and they couldn’t do much to stop him. The defense on the big men was good, and he got to the line frequently. It was another great performance from AD and his value should be stable barring injury. The Wizards are winning and he’s a big reason for that. If you’re worried about the injuries, it might be worth exploring the market, but it’s also likely everyone else is just as scared about him.

Trae Young had 21 points (4-of-9 FGs, 12-of-14 FTs), seven rebounds, nine assists, two steals, a block, a three, and four turnovers in a 95-79 win over the Hornets.

Trae was leading the league in assists in this game, and he’s done a good job orchestrating the offense and leading the Wizards to a better record than expectations to start the season. He got to the line and hit most of his free throws and was efficient tonight. The inefficiency balanced out in this one and the Wizards were able to come out with a win. Don’t expect that many rebounds but its been a good year for the league assist leader.

Jamal Murray, Christian Braun, Cameron Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokić will start Friday’s game against the Suns.

Active for the first time since spraining his ankle in Denver’s season opener, Johnson will start on Friday. As a result, Trevon Brazile will come off the bench.

Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Gui Santos, Yaxel Lendeborg and Draymond Green will start Friday’s game against the Lakers.

Santos is available after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Timberwolves and will start. His inclusion in the starting lineup comes at the expense of Georges Niang. The Warriors’ other four starters are unchanged.

Cameron Johnson (ankle) is available for Friday’s game against the Suns.

Johnson is officially available to return after missing Denver’s last three games with a sprained ankle. His return will likely push Trevon Brazile to the bench after he started Wednesday’s win over the Pelicans.
