Derrick White tallied 17 points (6-of-9 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s exhibition against the Hornets.

White is coming off his worst season in field-goal percentage, making just 39.4 percent of his attempts. However, he still provided top-50 fantasy value because of everything else he does to help the Celtics win. Fantasy managers should expect White to bounce back with his shooting while still offering reliable fantasy value across the board. His ceiling may be somewhat limited, but his fantasy floor is strong and reliable.
Lillard a 'big part' of Trail Blazers' rotation
Noah Rubin breaks down Damian Lillard's return to Portland, dropping 25 points against the Suns, and how the structure of the rotation may affect the fantasy value around the Trail Blazers.

Charles Bassey (knee) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Bassey did not play in Wednesday’s opener against the Lakers, leaving the Warriors light on options at center. With Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) out indefinitely, Draymond Green may spend more time at center than head coach Steve Kerr would prefer. Al Horford can provide depth off the bench, but he’s unlikely to exceed 20 minutes.

Spencer Jones (hamstring) is out for Thursday’s game against the Thunder.

Jones, who strained his left hamstring early in training camp, is also navigating a right hamstring injury. His absence may give fellow reserve Trevon Brazile a few minutes, but it is unlikely to significantly affect fantasy basketball.

Collin Sexton (leg) is not on the injury report for Friday’s game against the Clippers.

Sexton didn’t play in the preseason or the Lakers’ season-opening win over the Warriors, so the Lakers may monitor his minutes closely on Friday. Getting him back gives JJ Redick another option off the bench, which lacks on-ball playmakers.

Jake LaRavia (ankle) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Clippers.

LaRavia sprained his right ankle in Wednesday’s win over the Warriors, and team trainers helped him back to the locker room. With Cameron Carr (oblique) and Adou Thiero (knee) already out, LaRavia’s minutes will likely be split among Matisse Thybulle, Ziaire Williams and Quentin Grimes if he can’t play on Friday. Despite coming off the bench, Grimes offers a higher category league ceiling than Thybulle or Williams.

Cameron Carr (oblique) and Adou Thiero (knee) are out for Friday’s game against the Clippers.

Neither Carr nor Thiero played in Wednesday’s win over the Warriors, and both are considered day-to-day moving forward. Their absences mean the Lakers will stick with a nine-man rotation, with backup center Kevon Looney as the ninth man.

Chris Youngblood (ankle) and Branden Carlson (concussion protocol) are out for Friday’s game against the Kings.

The continued absences of Youngblood and Carlson will not affect fantasy basketball, as neither is guaranteed rotation minutes when healthy.

Malik Monk (ankle) is probable for Friday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

Monk is on track to make his first appearance of the season after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers. With Ben Simmons (Achilles) out for the season, the Kings may turn to Monk to do more on-ball playmaking when rookie Darius Acuff Jr. needs a rest.

Tony Bradley (quad) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Pelicans.

Bradley was unavailable for Wednesday’s season-opening loss to the Grizzlies, robbing the Jazz of a potential option at the center position. Jaxson Hayes, filling in for the injured Jusuf Nurkić, played 26 minutes in Memphis, with Jaren Jackson Jr. also spending time at the five. Bradley’s absence would not affect fantasy basketball if he remains out.

Dean Wade (ankle) is out for Thursday’s game against the Cavaliers.

Wade will miss a second consecutive game as he continues to recover from a sprained left ankle. As a result, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope may come close to the 26 minutes he played off the bench in Tuesday’s win over the Knicks.

Jarrett Allen (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against the 76ers.

Listed as questionable on the Cavaliers’ initial injury report for Thursday, Allen is good to go. He’ll start alongside James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Peyton Watson and Evan Mobley.
