Derik Queen had 2 points, (1-of-3 FGs), 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and two blocks against the Wizards.

With Yves Missi starting every game in the pre-season, Queen will likely be coming off the bench to start the season. While he can put up very fun fantasy numbers when he gets the minutes, the defense has been a problem. In addition, transitioning to Jamahl Mosley who is a defensive minded coach, it’s likely that he won’t utilize Queen’s offensive ability to a high degree.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 19 points (7-of-11 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), 11 rebounds, five assists and two three-pointers against the Bulls on Friday.

Jaquez had another excellent game for the Bucks and appears to be one of the big winners in terms of increased fantasy value from the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade. The only drawback on Friday was that he turned the ball over six times after turning it over twice in his Bucks debut.

Spencer Jones (hamstring) is out for Saturday’s game against the Pelicans.

The Nuggets aren’t going to take any chances with Jones, who’s working his way back from a strained hamstring. Rookie Trevon Brazile played 18 minutes off the bench in his debut and grabbed 12 rebounds. He’s likely to take on a similar role as Aaron Gordon’s backup on Saturday.

Alpha Diallo (wrist) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Pelicans.

Diallo played 22 minutes in his Nuggets’ debut on Thursday, starting the second half for the injured Cameron Johnson (ankle). With Johnson ruled out for Saturday, Diallo could start Denver’s home opener if he’s available. If not, DeMar DeRozan may start.

Tyler Herro had 34 points (12-of-24 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Bulls.

Not only did Herro lead the Bucks in shots for the second consecutive game, he took twice as many field goal attempts as any of his teammates against the Bulls. Despite the high usage, Herro only had one turnover, which is important for his value in nine-category leagues. If he can continue to control his turnover total, Herro could be in line for the best fantasy season of his career.

Cameron Johnson (ankle) is out for Saturday’s game against the Pelicans.

Johnson sprained his right ankle during the second quarter of Thursday’s loss to the Thunder and did not return. Alpha Diallo started the third quarter, but he’s questionable for Saturday’s game. If Diallo can’t play, the Nuggets may turn to DeMar DeRozan from the start.

Leonard Miller had 19 points (7-of-11 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two three-pointers against the Bucks on Friday.

Miller only played 23 minutes off the bench in this one as Caleb Wilson and Norman Powell were the only Bulls to play at least 30 minutes. Still, it’s impossible to ignore Miller’s production after an impressive preseason and the first two games of the regular season. He’s scored in double figures in both games despite minutes totals in the low-20s. Miller probably needs more minutes to be fantasy-relevant, but at some point he could force his way into a more prominent role in the rotation.

Caleb Wilson had 21 points (7-of-14 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers against the Bucks on Friday.

After Wilson’s inauspicious debut Wednesday that included 33.3 percent shooting from the field and nine turnovers, the 20-year-old forward bounced back nicely in the second game of his NBA career. He was 7-of-14 from the field (50 percent), scored 21 points and had just three turnovers. Wilson will have ups and downs in his career and there will certainly be more bumps in the road during his rookie season, but this was undoubtedly a promising performance.

The Charlotte Hornets will start Dennis Schroeder, Sion James, Brandon Miller, Naz Reid, and Moussa Diabate against the the Hawks on Friday.

Despite Grayson Allen having a real good game on Wednesday, Sion James is still the starter for this game. Given that Sion did start 19 games last year, it seems like he will stay in the starting lineup until players return to help balance out the starters. Grayson Allen can still be rostered in some spots until players start getting back, but he’ll be a streamer in most cases.

Norman Powell had 25 points (7-of-20 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), four rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in the Bulls’ 132-125 victory over the Hawks on Friday.

Powell was the Bulls’ leading scorer in the victory over the Bucks on Wednesday. While he had 25 points, Powell’s typically excellent shooting from behind the three-point line was noticeably absent. The 33-year-old shooting guard went 2-of-12 from behind the arc and is now 4-of-18 (22.2 percent) from long distance this season. Powell is a career 39.6 percent three-point shooter and should have better shooting games in his future as he’s due for positive regression.

Ben Sheppard (knee) has been diagnosed with a torn left meniscus.

Sheppard was initially listed with a sore left knee, but the Pacers have since updated the injury report. With a torn meniscus, he’ll likely miss more time than the two weeks Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle initially said during his pregame media availability.
