David Lighty, who has several workouts for NBA teams scheduled, would like to play for the Cavs.
Lighty went to Ohio State and is from Cleveland, so it’s not a shock that he wants to play in front of his home crowd. After going undrafted in 2011, Lighty has an uphill battle to climb to stick in the league. He spent this season playing in Italy, where he played with two different teams. He has offers to return to Europe, but Lighty’s primary focus is finding a job stateside in the NBA.

Stephon Castle (pelvis) is questionable to play against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Castle exited early on Tuesday and could remain sidelined for another game. In their final game before the All-Star break, they could choose to prioritize rest. Harrison Barnes started in place of Castle in his most recent absence, though Dylan Harper could also benefit greatly from Castle being sidelined.
    Fantasy implications of Hornets-Pistons brawl
Eric Samulski breaks down the suspensions handed out to Pistons and Hornets players following their brawl on Monday night and what it means for fantasy owners looking to pick up players who might be filling those holes.
  • SAS Forward #43
Lindy Waters III (knee) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Warriors.
Wednesday’s game is the fifth that Waters has missed since suffering a hyperextended left knee. His continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as he has not played consistent rotation minutes when healthy.
  • SAS Forward #10
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Jeremy Sochan and the Spurs have agreed on a release that will make him a free agent.
Sochan most recently played the final four minutes of Saturday’s win over the Mavericks. The 2022 lottery pick has not been in the Spurs’ rotation on most nights, prompting rumors before the trade deadline that the forward was hoping to be moved. Once he clears waivers, Sochan will become an unrestricted free agent. In 28 games this season, he averaged 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 12.8 minutes per appearance.
  • PHX Guard #4
Jalen Green (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder.
Green is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder for right hamstring injury management reasons. The 24-year-old shooting guard has only been playing around 20 minutes per game, so if he’s ruled out his absence won’t have a major impact on the Suns’ rotation.
  • PHX Guard #1
Devin Booker (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder.
Booker is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder for right ankle injury management reasons. If Booker is ultimately ruled out, more of the offense would go through Dillon Brooks and Collin Gillespie.
  • MIN Center-Forward #11
Naz Reid and Mouhamed Gueye were each fined $35,000 for their roles in an on-court altercation in Monday’s game.
Reid and Gueye got into it early in the fourth quarter of Monday’s game. Both players were ejected after some shoving. While neither player was suspended, both were fined $35,000 for their actions.
  • LAC Guard-Forward #33
Nicolas Batum (rest) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets.
Batum is sitting out Wednesday’s game against the Rockets, which is the second game of a back-to-back for the Clippers. The 37-year-old small forward didn’t play against the Rockets on Tuesday due to a coach’s decision, so his absence has no impact on the Clippers rotation anyway.
  • Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
Finney-Smith is dealing with left lower leg injury management and will miss Wednesday’s game against the Clippers. Jae’Sean Tate could see extra minutes with Finney-Smith out, but he’s not a worthwhile streamer in most fantasy leagues.
  • HOU Forward #17
Tari Eason (leg) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
Eason is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers for left lower leg injury management reasons. If the 24-year-old small forward is ultimately ruled out, Josh Okogie would likely move into the starting lineup.
  • HOU Center #28
Alperen Şengün (leg) is probable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
Şengün is dealing with a left lower leg contusion, though he’s listed as probable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers. With Steven Adams done for the year, Clint Capela would likely start in the unlikely scenario that Şengün isn’t available Wednesday.
