Dwight Howard isn’t ruling out a return to the NBA and wants to win a title with the Kings, according to Mark Haynes of The Observer.
Could Superman don his cape for one last ride? In a recent interview Dwight Howard said, “I’m not retired from the NBA just yet” and added that he “would love to help the Sacramento Kings contend for a title”. Howard, whose career accomplishments include eight All-NBA selections, five All-Defense selections and three DPOY awards, last played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season as a member of the Lakers. Dwight won a ring with the Lakers in the 2019-20 bubble as well. This past year Howard has been playing professionally in Taiwan for the Taoyuan Leopards.

Nic Claxton (hip) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.
Absent from the initial injury report released by the Nets, Claxton is now questionable with a sore right hip. If he’s unable to play on Wednesday, Day’Ron Sharpe would be the next man up. And he is worth streaming when allowed to start.
NBA needs 'new system' to disincentivize tanking
Chris Mannix dives into the NBA's tanking culture and which teams have "not shown any interest in winning," exploring what the NBA can do to mitigate teams purposefully throwing their seasons.
  • DAL Guard #1
Tyus Jones, Max Christie, Cooper Flagg, P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford will start Tuesday’s game against the Suns.
Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has made two changes to his starting lineup. After coming off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, Jones and Washington move into the starting lineup. Naji Marshall and Caleb Martin will head to the bench, with the former still being a player worth holding onto in deep leagues.
  • GSW Forward-Center #7
Kristaps Porziņǵis (Achilles) was able to get in some 3-on-3 work on Tuesday.
According to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, the team hopes Porziņǵis will make his debut in their first game out of the All-Star break, on February 19 against the Celtics. And once he’s cleared to play, he will do so in short stints. With Jimmy Butler (knee) done for the season, a healthy Porziņǵis can give the Warriors a needed boost on both ends of the floor.
  • GSW Guard #3
Will Richard (knee) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Richard was initially questionable for Monday’s win over the Grizzlies, ultimately playing 15 minutes off the bench. The rookie will likely take on a similar role against the Spurs, but there could be a few more minutes available if De’Anthony Melton (glute) can’t play.
  • De’Anthony Melton (glute) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Melton suffered a gluteal contusion during Monday’s win over the Grizzlies. He recently moved into the starting lineup, so the Warriors would have a gap to account for if he can’t play. Brandin Podziemski could return to the starting lineup in that scenario, which would raise his fantasy ceiling.
  • DAL Guard #31
Klay Thompson (rest) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Suns.
Initially questionable for Tuesday’s game, Thompson will sit out Dallas’ penultimate game before the All-Star break. Khris Middleton is available to make his Mavericks’ debut, so he can absorb the minutes that would have gone to Thompson.
  • UTA Guard #3
Keyonte George (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Kings.
George aggravated his sprained right ankle during Saturday’s loss to the Magic, and Wednesday’s game will be the second that he’s missed. Isaiah Collier has moved into the starting lineup, and he should be rostered while George sits.
  • Russell Westbrook (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Jazz.
Westbrook rolled his left ankle during Monday’s loss to the Pelicans and was limited to 21 minutes. He won’t play against the Jazz, which could lead to Devin Carter moving into the starting lineup. Given the Kings’ injuries, Carter is worth streaming in deep leagues.
  • SAC Forward-Center #11
Domantas Sabonis (back) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Jazz.
Sabonis will miss a fourth straight game with a back issue that has lingered for some time. Maxime Raynaud will remain the starting center, with Dylan Cardwell picking up additional minutes off the bench.
  • SAC Guard #0
Malik Monk (illness) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Jazz.
Wednesday’s game will be the third that Monk has missed due to illness. Devin Carter has picked up additional rotation minutes in Monk’s absence while also benefiting from the Kings’ decision to trade Dennis Schröder and Keon Ellis to the Cavaliers.
