James Bouknight led Charlotte with 28 points (11-for-21 FGs), seven rebounds, one steal and four 3-pointers in an 89-83 loss to New Orleans on Thursday.
After struggling through his first two seasons, Bouknight got off to a slow start this summer. He had a solid finish to the regular season after Charlotte pulled the plug, but this was the first good game that he’s had this summer. Perhaps it’s not time to write him off completely, but aside from this game, Bouknight hasn’t given us much reason for optimism.

VJ Edgecombe (back) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Grizzlies.
After a three-game absence, Edgecombe has been cleared to return on Tuesday. As a result, Cameron Payne or Quentin Grimes will head to the bench. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Grimes offers a much higher fantasy ceiling than Payne. With 76ers head coach Nick Nurse saying that Edgecombe will get plenty of on-ball reps, Payne may be the odd man out of the starting lineup.
Have players been 'deconditioned' in today's NBA?
Stan Van Gundy shares his take on what has contributed to the rise in injuries and if players have been "deconditioned" in today's NBA.
  • NYK Guard #3
Josh Hart (knee) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Jazz.
Hart is dealing with soreness in his left knee. If he’s unable to play against the Jazz, Landry Shamet and Mohamed Diawara are potential replacements in the starting lineup. Both players would see their opportunities increase if Hart sits, regardless of who starts.
  • NYK Center-Forward #23
Mitchell Robinson (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Jazz.
Robinson sat out on Monday, which was the second night of a back-to-back. He’ll be back to occupying his typical reserve role against Utah, which means Ariel Hukporti will lose out on minutes after logging 12 as the backup against the Clippers.
  • CLE Guard #24
Tyrese Proctor (quad) has been ruled out against the Magic on Wednesday.
Proctor will miss a third straight game with this quad injury, though he didn’t see the floor at all in his last two available games anyway. His continued absence won’t alter Cleveland’s rotation.
  • CLE Center #31
Jarrett Allen (knee) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Magic.
Allen will miss a third straight game with right knee tendonitis. Sam Merrill has served as the fifth starter, with Evan Mobley shifting from power forward to center. That should remain the case on Wednesday, with Merrill being worth a look in deep leagues where there’s a need for three-point production.
  • ORL Forward #1
Jonathan Isaac (knee) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Isaac has missed Orlando’s last three games due to soreness in his left knee. While Noah Penda has picked up rotation minutes off the bench recently, he has not done enough to merit rostering in redraft leagues.
  • ORL Guard #11
Jase Richardson (back) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Richardson did not play in Sunday’s win over the Bucks. His availability does not affect fantasy basketball, even with Anthony Black (back) ruled out for Wednesday’s game.
  • PHX Guard #23
According to Suns reporter Shane Young, Jordan Goodwin (calf) is available for Tuesday’s matchup with the Bucks.
Goodwin has missed seven straight games, but he’ll get back on the court to face Milwaukee on the road. He should see meaningful minutes in Phoenix’s rotation while Dillon Brooks is out, and Goodwin should remain part of the rotation when Brooks returns.
  • MIN Forward-Guard #12
Kyle Anderson (knee) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Lakers.
Anderson is back after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Magic with a sore right knee. His return expands the Timberwolves’ rotation to nine, as only eight players saw action the last time out. Andreson is not a player who should be rostered in redraft leagues.
  • GSW Guard #31
Seth Curry (back) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls.
Appearing in a game for the first time since December 4, Curry played 12 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Jazz. His absence alone does not affect fantasy basketball, but the Warriors will be down multiple rotation games against the Bulls.
