Joel Embiid logged 31 minutes in Monday’s 138-94 win over the Lakers, accumulating 30 points (9-of-15 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), 11 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.
The 76ers flat-out embarrassed the Lakers, and Embiid had a lot to do with that. The reigning MVP locked up his first triple-double of the season during the third quarter, and didn’t play at all in the fourth. He’s scored at least 30 points in five straight and eight of his last nine outings, with the exception being Philadelphia’s November 15 loss to the Celtics. Embiid remains a top 5 player in 9-cat per-game value, and he’ll play two more games in Week 6, including a rematch with the Celtics Friday night in Boston.
