Nickeil Alexander-Walker had a solid game on Thursday with 20 points (8-of-16 FGs), five rebounds, seven assists, five steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers against the Jazz.
With Anthony Edwards sidelined, Troy Brown Jr. seemed like a prime candidate to benefit and have a big game, especially after his heroics in the fourth quarter of their last game helped them get the win. However, while Brown Jr. was solid (8/3/2/1), it was NAW that really took advantage of the opportunity. The former first round pick hasn’t been able to find his footing through his first few years in the league, but he has played well in place of Jaden McDaniels. He stepped up even more in this game to post a dominant stat line that included a career-high in steals and season-highs in points and 3-pointers. This was an awesome game for him, but if Anthony Edwards is back on Saturday, he’ll lose all of his streaming upside.
