Dennis Smith Jr. played 20 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s 129-101 win over the Magic, accounting for 10 points (5-of-10 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one blocked shot.
Back in action after missing six games with a lower back sprain, Smith gave the Nets excellent production off the bench in their blowout of the Magic. Not only did he record his first double-double of the season, but this was his first such effort since October 26, 2022 as a member of the Hornets. Given the amount of time missed, it’s unlikely that many fantasy managers added Smith (2% rostered) before Saturday’s game. But this performance will put managers in deep leagues on notice, especially with Ben Simmons (back) due to miss at least two more weeks and Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) also sidelined.
