Paolo Banchero shot 6-of-15 from the field and 7-of-9 from the foul line in Saturday’s 129-101 loss to the Nets, amassing 19 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and one steal in 34 minutes.
Banchero finished two assists shy of his first career triple-double, but there weren’t many positives beyond that to take from Orlando’s performance in Brooklyn. Another positive for the reigning Rookie of the Year was the turnover count, as he was responsible for just one. Averaging 3.1 per game on the season, Banchero’s ranked outside the top 150 in 9-cat formats and just inside the top 100 in 8-cat. If he can keep the turnovers in check on a consistent basis, that would give his fantasy value a welcome boost. Moritz Wagner, who contributed 18 points, two rebounds, two assists, one block, and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes off the bench, is ranked just outside the top 150 over the last two weeks. That isn’t great value, but enough to merit being streamed in deep leagues while Wendell Carter Jr. is sidelined.
