According to Law Murray of The Athletic, the Clippers are signing undrafted free agent Trentyn Flowers.
Flowers initially committed to Louisville but decided last summer to join the Adelaide 36ers in Australia’s National Basketball League. Playing with and against professionals, he played a little over 14 minutes per game this season. Flowers shot reasonably well from three in a limited sample size, but the playmaking was a struggle. He will need to become more efficient in that regard, knowing when to hunt for his shot and when to make the next pass to get a teammate a clean look. He must also improve defensively, especially when guarding the man with the ball. Flowers turned 19 in March, so he’ll be viewed as an upside play in this draft class. The Clippers won’t need him to be an immediate contributor, so look for Flowers to spend significant time in the G League this season.
