Terrence Shannon Jr. (left toe) will not return to Thursday’s game against Houston.
Shannon Jr. has played well this summer, but this game will end for him after he logged just seven minutes and only contributed a rebound. Hopefully this isn’t an injury that will keep him out past this game, but if it does, he was able to do enough this summer to prove that he should be part of the team’s rotation to some extent next season.
  • IND Center #11

Micah Potter (hip) is available for Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
Potter was active for Friday’s loss to the Bucks, playing 16 minutes off the bench. He’ll likely take on a similar workload against Toronto, which makes Potter a non-factor in most fantasy leagues.
HLs: Castle explodes for 40-point triple-double
Watch highlights of San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle doing it all with a 40-point triple-double to defeat the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night.
  • IND Guard-Forward #23
Aaron Nesmith (elbow) is available for Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
Initially questionable for Sunday’s game, Nesmith is good to go. He’ll take on his usual role within the starting lineup, and Jarace Walker remains with the reserves.
  • MIN Forward #4
Julian Phillips (wrist) is available for Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
Phillips is good to go for his Timberwolves’ debut. However, he offered little fantasy value in Chicago, and that’s unlikely to change in Minnesota, at least in the short term.
  • WAS Forward-Center #23
Wizards GM Will Dawkins said on Sunday that he anticipates Anthony Davis (hand) playing at some point this season.
Two days after NBA insider Chris Haynes reported that Davis was unlikely to play again this season, Dawkins said that he anticipates the forward/center returning at some point. In the short term, Davis will return to Dallas to work with his medical team as he recovers from ligament damage in his left hand. Dawkins also noted that the 4-to-6 week timeline provided in mid-January is closer to 6-to-10 weeks. If Davis were to play this season, the timeline suggests he won’t be available until sometime in March.
  • MIA Forward #15
Davion Mitchell, Norman Powell, Myron Gardner, Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo will start Sunday’s game against the Wizards.
Already without Tyler Herro, the Heat won’t have Pelle Larsson for Sunday’s game as he recovers from an elbow injury. Gardner, who performed well in his first two starts this season, is back in the starting lineup to fill the resulting void.
  • TOR Center #19
Jakob Poeltl (back, conditioning) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Poeltl has been out since December, and that won’t change on Sunday. However, the past few days have been spent getting his conditioning up to par rather than rehabbing his lower back, which is a positive. Collin Murray-Boyles and Sandro Mamukelashvili will again play most of the available minutes, and Trayce Jackson-Davis is available to make his Raptors debut.
  • WAS Forward #00
Tristan Vukčević (knee) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Vukčević was in the starting lineup for Saturday’s loss to the Nets, but he only played 20 minutes. With Alex Sarr (ankle) also available, Vukčević may play even less. However, Sarr only played 18 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Pistons.
  • WAS Center #20
Alex Sarr (ankle) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Sarr is good to go after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Nets. He’ll be back in the starting lineup, with Tristan Vukčević heading to the bench.
  • WAS Forward #18
Kyshawn George (knee) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
George is back after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Nets. As a result of his return, Jamir Watkins will return to the bench, with his already-low streaming value taking a hit.
  • WAS Guard #0
Bilal Coulibaly (back) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Coulibaly is back after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Nets. As a result of his return, Will Riley will likely head to the bench. However, the rookie is worth holding onto, as he should still play plenty.
