According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 76ers have signed Jeff Dowtin to a two-way contract.
Dowtin and 76ers coach Nick Nurse have been connected since their time in Toronto, and that will continue into the 2024-25 season. Dowtin played well for the 76ers in summer league and has earned the right to return after joining the team on a two-way in March. Philadelphia has Tyrese Maxey and Kyle Lowry at the point guard position, and first-round pick Jared McCain is also capable of filling that role. Dowtin’s signing will not impact fantasy basketball.

Nolan Traoré (illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
While Traoré’s absence won’t affect fantasy basketball, it does free up minutes on the back end of the Nets’ rotation. Terance Mann, who did not play in Friday’s double-overtime loss to the Celtics, may re-enter the rotation on Sunday. Another possibility is that rookie Ben Saraf, who last played in an NBA game on December 6, gets a few minutes since he’s not on assignment with the Nets’ G League affiliate.
HLs: Embiid's 38 points not enough for 76ers win
Joel Embiid put on a show for the home crowd, scoring 38 points and pairing it with another 11 rebounds for a double-double, but it wasn't enough to spell a win for the 76ers, who fell just 3 points short vs. the Knicks.
  • BKN Guard #24
Cam Thomas (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
While hamstring injuries have been the reason given for limiting Thomas’ playing time in the past, a sprained left ankle sidelines him for the first game of the Nets’ road trip. Drake Powell’s playing time may increase after he logged 20 minutes in Friday’s double-overtime loss to the Celtics. If it isn’t “silly season” already in Brooklyn, it’s approaching.
  • BKN Forward-Center #21
Noah Clowney (back) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
Clowney played 43 of a possible 58 minutes in Friday’s double-overtime loss to the Celtics. If he can’t play on Sunday, that would likely free up additional minutes for Danny Wolf, and Jalen Wilson could enter the rotation after picking up a DNP-CD on Friday.
  • LAC Forward #2
Kawhi Leonard (illness, knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Nets.
In addition to the left knee contusion that sidelined him for three games before his return on Thursday, Leonard is under the weather going into the Clippers’ final game of Week 14. If he’s unable to play, rookie Kobe Sanders should return to the starting lineup. He would be worth streaming if allowed to start.
  • PHX Guard #4
Jalen Green (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Green was pulled from Friday’s loss to the Hawks for precautionary reasons, and his official injury is “right hamstring injury management.” That’s good news for the Suns’ guard, who played two games before aggravating the initial strain during a game in early November. With Devin Booker (ankle) out, the Suns will need more production from Grayson Allen, Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin.
  • PHX Guard #1
Devin Booker (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Booker sprained his right ankle during Friday’s loss to the Hawks and was seen using crutches following the game. With Jalen Green (hamstring) questionable, the Suns will need to rely more on Grayson Allen, Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin for production, whether they start or come off the bench.
  • UTA Center #30
Jusuf Nurkić (illness) is available for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Initially doubtful for Saturday’s game, Nurkić is now listed as available. However, there have been a few instances this season in which the 7-footer has not played despite not being ruled out. In short, fantasy managers should wait until the Jazz announce the starters before committing to slotting Nurkić into their lineups.
  • BOS Forward-Center #77
Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Jaylen Brown, Sam Hauser and Amari Williams will start Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
While Neemias Queta (illness) is available, he’ll come off the bench on Saturday. And instead of Luka Garza, who played 20 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Nets, it will be Williams who starts. The second-round pick out of Kentucky will make his tenth appearance of the season, with this being his first start. Also, White’s return means that Baylor Scheierman comes off the bench.
  • OKC Guard #21
Aaron Wiggins (groin) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
Wiggins has missed Oklahoma City’s last two games, with Isaiah Joe receiving the starting nod in Friday’s loss to the Pacers. When both are available, Wiggins offers a higher fantasy ceiling when allowed to start.
  • OKC Center-Forward #55
Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) is out for Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
Hartenstein remains out, having last played on December 28. With Ajay Mitchell also out, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins are potential replacements in the starting lineup. Since Wiggins was not available, Joe received the nod in Friday’s loss to the Pacers, playing 30 minutes.
