Dennis Schroder finished Friday’s 85-71 win over France with 26 points (10-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
If anyone forgot that Germany is the reigning world champion in men’s basketball (the FIBA World Cup is separate from the Olympics), Schroder and his teammates offered an emphatic reminder on Friday. He was one of two Germans (Franz Wagner) to score 26 points in the win, which moved the team to 3-0 in group play. Who Germany will play in the quarterfinals won’t be known until the end of Saturday’s action, but this is a team capable of challenging the United States for the gold medal.

Draymond Green (ankle) is probable for Monday’s game against the Heat.
Green has a sprained right ankle, but the probable tag suggests that he will be available for Monday’s game. If he can’t play, Gary Payton II will figure more prominently in the rotation due to his defensive ability. However, GPII is not a player who has to be rostered in most leagues.
HLs: Morant scores 24 points in return to lineup
Ja Morant had 24 points and 13 assists in his return to the lineup to lead the Grizzlies to a 126-109 win over the Magic in the first NBA regular-season game in London since 2019. Europe will host two more games in 2027.
  • TOR Forward #77
Jamison Battle (ankle) is available for Sunday’s game against the Lakers.
Battle is back after a one-game absence. While RJ Barrett’s absence frees up rotation minutes on the wing, Battle is unlikely to offer the production needed to affect fantasy basketball. He can be left on the waiver wire.
  • Immanuel Quickley (back) is available for Sunday’s game against the Lakers.
Quickley is available after missing Toronto’s last two games. His return should push Ochai Agbaji to the bench, with Quickley starting alongside Jamal Shead.
  • POR Center-Forward #35
Robert Williams (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
With Sunday’s game being the second in as many nights for the Trail Blazers, Williams not playing is unsurprising. His absence frees up minutes for Yang Hansen and Duop Reath, but neither is likely to get the run needed to affect fantasy basketball.
  • POR Forward #9
Jerami Grant (Achilles) is out for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
Grant will not play after logging 22 minutes off thebench in Saturday’s win over the Lakers. His absence will likely mean more minutes for Sidy Cissoko and Rayan Rupert, with the former having recently been part of the starting lineup.
  • POR Guard #5
Jrue Holiday (calf) is out for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
With Holiday still working his way back from a strained calf, he is not to the point where he can play both games of back-to-backs. His absence coincides with Deni Avdija’s return from a back injury, so the Blazers may decide to slide Deni into the starting lineup. If not, Caleb Love is the likely replacement in the starting lineup.
  • POR Forward #8
Deni Avdija (back) is available for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
Avdija is back after a three-game absence, in an excellent development for the Trail Blazers and for fantasy managers. With Jrue Holiday (calf) getting the night off, Deni will likely slide back into the starting lineup. If not, Caleb Love may be the choice to fill the void.
  • DEN Forward #14
Jamal Murray, Jalen Pickett, Spencer Jones, Peyton Watson and DaRon Holmes II will start Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
The Nuggets won’t have Aaron Gordon for Sunday’s game, as he’s sitting due to hamstring injury management. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Holmes, but don’t be surprised if Zeke Nnaji plays more minutes. That’s how things worked out earlier in January when injuries to Nikola Jokić and Jonas Valančiūnas pushed Holmes, who missed all of last season with a ruptured Achilles, into the starting lineup.
  • CHA Forward #14
LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabaté will start Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.
After sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Warriors, Diabaté will start in Denver, pushing Ryan Kalkbrenner to the bench. While he will remain in the rotation, Kalkbrenner’s fantasy ceiling takes a significant hit due to the lineup change. Also, Ball’s return to the starting lineup pushes Sion James to the bench.
  • UTA Forward-Center #23
Lauri Markkanen (illness) is out for Monday’s game against the Spurs.
Markkanen will miss a fourth straight game, with his absence coinciding with Ace Bailey’s return to the starting lineup. Bailey should start even when Lauri is available; if anything, the veteran’s absence protects Cody Williams’ status as a starter.
