  • IND Power Forward #21

Cole Swider has agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Pacers, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Swider spent most of his first two seasons with the G-League affiliates for the Lakers and Heat, and now he’ll have a chance to make Indiana’s roster. If he does, he’ll likely spend most of the year in the G-League once again, so there aren’t any fantasy implications once again.
  • CLE Guard #5
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Sam Merrill (hand) has been ruled out against the Kings on Friday.
This will be a fourth straight absence for Merrill, who has been in and out of the starting lineup when available. Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade should remain the starters for Cleveland with Merrill still out, while De’Andre Hunter should continue to fill out big minutes off the bench.
Porter Jr.'s injury-plagued season halted again
Eric Samulski examines Kevin Porter Jr.'s latest injury that will keep him out indefinitely and who may step up on the Bucks in his absence.
  • DET Forward #5
Ron Holland (illness) is probable for Friday’s game against the Rockets.
Holland is on the injury report, but with a probable tag, it’s more likely he plays on Friday than not. With Caris LeVert (illness) listed as doubtful, rookie Chaz Lanier could sneak into the back end of the Pistons’ rotation if Holland can’t play. Even if that happens, Lanier should only be rostered in dynasty leagues.
  • DET Guard #2
Cade Cunningham (illness, hip) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Rockets.
Cunningham did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Pelicans, resulting in Daniss Jenkins moving into the starting lineup. And he was backed up by Marcus Sasser, with Jaden Ivey getting his minutes at shooting guard. Expect a similar rotation if Cunningham doesn’t play against Houston.
  • DET Forward #55
Duncan Robinson (back) is probable to play against the Rockets on Wednesday.
Robinson is managing a back sprain, but he is expected to suit up against Houston. He’ll look to stay red-hot in this game, having hit at least four triples in six consecutive games.
  • NOP Forward #2
Herb Jones (ankle) is questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Friday.
Jones has missed the Pelicans’ last eight games, but there is a chance he returns to take on Memphis. If that happens, Saddiq Bey will liikely head back to playing a reserve role, which will limit his fantasy impact.
  • NOP Forward #1
Zion Williamson (illness) is not on the injury report for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Williamson had to exit Wednesday’s loss to the Pistons prematurely due to illness. His absence from the initial injury report for Friday’s game means that he’ll be ready to take on his usual responsibilities within the Pelicans’ lineup. Micah Peavy and Bryce McGowens will lose out on minutes, especially if Herb Jones (ankle) is available.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell (back) is now questionable for Thursday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Initially probable for Thursday’s game, Powell is trending toward not playing, according to the most recent update on his injury status. With Tyler Herro (ribs) out and Davion Mitchell (shoulder) doubtful, the Heat could be without its entire starting backcourt. Dru Smith, who did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Kings, would likely re-enter the rotation if Powell sits.
  • MIA Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (shoulder) has been downgraded to doubtful to play against the Trail Blazers on Thursday.
Mitchell was initially listed as questionable after playing on Monday, which was his first game back after a two-game absence. However, he’s now expected to be sidelined. Kasparas Jakučionis should return to the starting lineup, though his impact was limited in the increased role.
  • WAS Guard #4
AJ Johnson (illness) is available for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.
Initially questionable for Thursday’s game, Johnson is officially available. However, since he isn’t guaranteed to be in the rotation, fantasy managers in redraft leagues should leave the Wizards guard on the waiver wire.
  • BOS Guard #9
Derrick White (rest) is out for Friday’s game against the Nets.
Given what the Nets showed in their 120-66 loss to the Knicks on Wednesday, it makes sense for the Celtics to give one of their mainstays Friday night off. With White unavailable, Baylor Scheierman may be the player most likely to move into the starting lineup. While not a must-stream player, the second-year guard will have every opportunity to offer tangible value if he starts.
