Collin Gillespie recorded 13 points (4-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in 22 minutes in Friday’s win over the Spurs.
Gillespie remains on a two-way contract, making games like Friday’s extremely important as he looks to carve out a consistent role. He played well enough over the past month to earn rotation minutes in Phoenix, but the franchise appears to be headed for significant changes once this disappointing season concludes. Sunday’s game in Sacramento should allow Gillespie to log substantial minutes, especially if the Suns sit Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
