Dillon Brooks shot 3-of-5 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s win over the Lakers, scoring 10 points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers.
Brooks’ unofficial Suns debut went smoothly on Friday night. In addition to bringing his usual brand of defense, the veteran forward was disciplined in his shot selection. Four of the five attempts came from beyond the arc, with Brooks knocking down three. Will that hold once the regular season begins? Given Brooks’ track record, fantasy managers can’t be blamed if they’re skeptical. He remains a player who will be a late-round option, at best, in standard leagues. However, from a non-fantasy standpoint, it will be fun to watch the wing tandem of Brooks and Ryan Dunn (4/8/3/1) go to work defensively on a nightly basis.
