Lakers head coach JJ Redick said on Thursday that Austin Reaves (calf) has progressed to playing 3-on-3.
Reaves has been out since suffering a Grade 2 left calf strain during a Christmas Day loss to the Rockets. According to Redick, the Lakers guard has “looked like Austin” in the 3-on-3 sessions, and “stay ready” games (5-on-5) should be happening soon. Marcus Smart will continue to start with Reaves out, but he offered limited streaming value in that role.

Reed Sheppard will start in place of Kevin Durant (ankle) against the Pacers on Monday.
Rockets coach Ime Udoka said that Durant tweaked his ankle by stepping on a fan’s foot on Sunday, and they’re hoping it isn’t a lengthy absence for him. Sheppard should see plenty of usage and minutes as a starter against a rebuilding team.
Timberwolves primed to cover spread vs. Grizzlies
Trysta Krick and Drew Dinsick preview Monday night's Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies showdown, where Minnesota are currently 7.5-point favorites.
  • UTA Center #30
Jusuf Nurkić (rest) has been ruled out against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Nurkić will miss Tuesday’s game against a fellow lottery team. In his most recent absence, Kyle Filipowski started in his place and should return to playing that role in this game. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds in 29 minutes in that game, making Filipowski worth streaming.
  • UTA Guard #3
Keyonte George (ankle) has been ruled out against the Pacers on Tuesday.
George will miss a second straight game, which means Isaiah Collier will start at point guard, while Walter Clayton Jr. fills out the reserve minutes. Collier had 19 points, seven assists and two steals in 30 minutes in Utah’s last game and is a worthy streamer as long as George remains out.
  • ATL Forward-Center #8
Kristaps Porziņģis (Achilles) is questionable to play against the Heat on Tuesday.
Porziņģis has missed the last 12 games for Atlanta, but he could be back against Miami. Onyeka Okongwu (dental) is still out, so Christian Koloko could remain a starter, with Porziņģis coming off the bench to manage his minutes. Still, Porziņģis can make a big impact in limited action.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell (personal) is questionable to play against the Hawks on Tuesday.
Powell has missed the last two games for Miami, but he could return against Atlanta. Myron Gardner started one game, while Simone Fontecchio filled the void in the last one. Powell will occupy the starting spot if he is available to play for the first time since being named an All-Star for the first time.
  • MIA Forward #5
Nikola Jović (hip) is questionable to play against the Hawks on Tuesday.
Jović missed Sunday’s game, which didn’t end up having a clear impact on the rotation due to the lopsided score. If he remains out, Simone Fontecchio and Kel’el Ware should take on extra minutes.
  • NYK Center-Forward #23
Mitchell Robinson (ankle) has been ruled out against the Wizards on Tuesday.
Robinson will miss Tuesday’s game, which is the first of a back-to-back. The Knicks want to ensure he’s available against Denver, so Ariel Hukporti and Guerschon Yabusele will help make up for his absence by filling the backup center minutes against Washington.
  • NYK Guard #2
Miles McBride (ankle) has been ruled out against the Wizards on Tuesday.
McBride will miss a fourth straight game as he continues to manage this left ankle injury. Landry Shamet and Tyler Kolek have taken on larger roles recently with McBride unavailable, which should continue against Washington.
  • WAS Forward #16
Anthony Gill (hand) is questionable to play against the Knicks on Tuesday.
Gill has taken on a larger role over Washington’s last two games, but he has mostly been an afterthought in the rotation this year. With Alex Sarr and Marvin Bagley both healthy, Gill’s status won’t impact Washington’s rotation.
  • LAL Guard #9
Bronny James (leg) is questionable to play against the Nets on Tuesday.
James missed Sunday’s game against New York, but his status for this game won’t alter the Lakers’ rotation.
