Collin Sexton finished Thursday’s win over the Suns with 30 points (11-of-19 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals and two three-pointers.
The Suns seemingly underestimated the shorthanded Bulls, and Sexton made them pay dearly. The veteran guard put up a season-high point total and did so efficiently, shooting over 50 percent from the field and committing just one turnover. His place in the starting lineup depends on the availability of Josh Giddey (ankle), who was injured during Tuesday’s loss to the Thunder. The Bulls are off until Sunday when they visit the Kings, so that may be enough time for Giddey to get back onto the court.
