ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Bucks are waiving Cam Thomas.

Waived by the Nets just after the February trade deadline, Thomas was unable to establish himself as a consistent member of the Bucks’ rotation after being signed for the rest of the season just before the All-Star break. There were a few high-scoring games, most notably a 34-point effort on February 11 against the Magic, but more often than not, he brought little to the table when he wasn’t scoring. Thomas will become an unrestricted free agent once he clears waivers.

Justin Champagnie underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a fracture in his right foot.

Champagnie had already been ruled out for Wednesday’s game, but he’s now on track to miss a lot more time than that. Bilal Coulibaly should be the primary reserve wing behind AJ Dybantsa when he moves into the starting unit, which could be as early as Wednesday night with him slated to make his NBA debut.

Tarik Biberović (heel) has been ruled out against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Biberović is technically a rookie, though he was drafted with the 56th pick in 2023. He hasn’t made his NBA debut yet, and it will wait at least one more game, though he likely won’t have much of a role when he is finally made available.

Santi Aldama (knee) has been ruled out against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Aldama’s season debut will have to wait at least one more game, but the combination of him being listed as doubtful ahead of this one and being assigned to the G League for a practice is a good indication that his return isn’t far off.

Tobias Harris (calf) has been ruled out against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Harris still hasn’t made his debut for the Spurs, which means the starting lineup should remain the same. It’s unclear how or if Harris’ eventual debut will impact San Antonio’s starting lineup, but it could push either Dylan Harper or Devin Vassell to the bench.

Jose Alvarado (ankle) has been ruled out against the Bulls on Wednesday.

This will be a third straight absence for Alvarado. Miles McBride and Tyler Kolek should continue to split the backup point guard minutes, which hasn’t been enough time for either to make a significant impact in the box score.

Naji Marshall (illness) is doubtful to play against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Marshall is now expected to miss a second straight game with this illness, which opened the door for Sergio de Larrea to take on extra minutes prior to his exit with a knee sprain and for Walter Clayton Jr. to play a role after that. Clayton should be able to play a few extra minutes off the bench with Marshall likely out.

Marcus Smart (forearm) has been ruled out against the Bucks on Wednesday.

Smart will miss a third straight game, though reports indicated that head coach Ime Udoka was “hopeful” that Smart would return for this game. His next opportunity to suit up will be in Dallas on Friday, while his absence will allow Bogdan Bogdanović to continue to take on extra minutes off the bench.

Jordan Poole (illness) is available to play against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Poole was initially probable for this game but has now been cleared to suit up against Denver. He’ll continue to be a source of offense for them off the bench, but his role has been too small for him to be worth rostering outside of deep leagues.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Tyrese Haliburton is set to miss time after being diagnosed with a left hamstring strain.

Haliburton was already questionable for Wednesday’s game, but he won’t be available for it. There is no clarity to this timeline currently, so hopefully head coach Rick Carlisle will provide more either before or after their game against the 76ers. Andrew Nembhard (neck) is questionable, and T.J. McConnell (hamstring) hasn’t played this season. Nembhard will likely be the starting point guard until Haliburton returns, with Quenton Jackson as the next man up. Rookie Braden Smith could also be part of the rotation if Indiana ends up truly shorthanded.

Yaxel Lendeborg (foot) participated in shootaround ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Lendeborg is still listed as questionable, but this is a good sign. The rookie has been fantastic early on and should continue to put up gaudy stats, assuming he’s available for this game. If something changes, Golden State could turn to Georges Niang in the starting unit.
