Luka Donċić totaled 38 points (11-of-25 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), six rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, one block and eight three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Clippers.

Donċić stuffed the stat sheet in a major way on Friday. In his first game back from injury (hamstring), he nearly captured a 40-point double-double that included eight three-pointers and four stocks. The superstar guard also only turned the ball over a couple of times, further underscoring his excellence on the offensive end of the floor. He’ll have a chance to tally another outstanding performance in front of the national television audience when the Lakers host the Celtics on Sunday.
Kawhi Leonard

LAC Forward #2

Kawhi Leonard (ankle) will not return to Friday’s game against the Lakers.

Leonard exited the game midway through the fourth quarter with what’s being described as ankle soreness. He had tallied 31 points in as many minutes before exiting, leading all Clippers players in scoring. Leonard was replaced by Kris Dunn in the lineup after subbing out. If Leonard is forced to miss any time, Bennedict Mathurin immediately becomes the Clippers’ go-to offensive option.
John Collins

John Collins (head) will not return to Friday’s game against the Lakers.

Collins took a hard fall during the second quarter of Friday’s game, hitting the side of his head on the court after being bumped by Lakers center Jaxson Hayes while in mid-air. The Clippers’ forward was helped off the floor immediately and did not return. If Collins enters the concussion protocol, Benedict Mathurin appears to be the most likely replacement in the starting lineup.
Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards tallied 40 points (16-of-30 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and five three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Mavericks.

Edwards put on a show on Friday, making it eight games this season with 40 points or more. As has been the case for most of this season, Ant-Man was at his best when the Timberwolves needed him most, shooting 6-of-8 from the field in the fourth quarter. Edwards and the Timberwolves play one more game in Week 17, as they host the 76ers on Sunday.
Tyler Herro

MIA Guard #14

Tyler Herro (ribs) accounted for 24 points (9-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Hawks.

Friday’s game was the first for Herro since January 15, and he didn’t appear to miss a beat in Atlanta. The Heat guard was efficient as a scorer and playmaker, shooting over 50 percent from the field and committing no turnovers. Herro was limited to 24 minutes on Friday; that number will increase as his conditioning improves. Pelle Larsson (12 points, six rebounds, one assist and two steals) remained in the starting lineup and played well, but he’ll likely be the player who’s bumped from the starting lineup once Herro’s restrictions are removed.
Kon Knueppel

CHA Guard-Forward #7

Kon Knueppel recorded 33 points (11-of-20 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, one steal and seven three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers.

Knueppel entered Friday’s game trailing Donovan Mitchell by one three-pointer in the race for the most triples in the NBA. The rookie took over the top spot with a 7-of-15 effort against the surging Cavaliers. While his performance didn’t result in a victory for the Hornets, Knueppel continues to play at a high level in his debut campaign. And with the Hornets visiting the Wizards on Sunday, he could be in for another big night to end Week 17.
Jarrett Allen

CLE Center #31

Jarrett Allen accounted for 26 points (11-of-15 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), 14 rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in Friday’s win over the Hornets.

Allen has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the James Harden trade, as he’s been fed the ball consistently. Of course, only one of the five games played since the trade included Allen and Evan Mobley in the lineup, but the former still recorded a double-double in Thursday’s win over the Nets. He put up an even more impressive double-double against the Cavaliers on Friday. Over the past two weeks, Allen has been a top-25 player in nine-cat formats.
Donovan Mitchell

CLE Guard #45

Donovan Mitchell tallied 32 points (9-of-22 FGs, 12-of-13 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Hornets.

In the five games the Cavaliers have played since acquiring James Harden, Mitchell has scored at least 30 points in four. The exception was Thursday’s blowout win over the Nets, a game in which he played 21 minutes. There’s still a lot of basketball to be played, but the early returns for the Cavaliers have been excellent. Mitchell and those who have him rostered in fantasy leagues continue to reap the rewards from the most notable trade made by an Eastern Conference contender at the deadline.
Alondes Williams

WAS Guard #31

Alondes Williams accounted for 25 points (9-of-11 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Pacers.

Williams is on a 10-day contract, so his opportunities to impress are limited. Give him credit for making the most of his opportunity on Friday, playing 29 minutes and recording his first career double-double. Not selected in the 2022 draft, Williams’ fingerprints were all over the Wizards’ second victory in as many games. However, even with this performance, he isn’t worth the risk in most leagues for Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
LeBron James

LAL Forward #23

LeBron James (knee) is available for Friday’s game against the Clippers.

Added to the injury report on Friday afternoon, James is good to go for the Lakers’ first game out of the All-Star break. The Lakers will be able to roll out their preferred starting lineup, as Luka Dončić and Deandre Ayton are also available.
