  • SF Tight End

He gets $5.5 million guaranteed. If George Kittle’s rehab from a torn Achilles runs into the regular season — which seems likely, even with all the positivity around it — Tonges should be a solid low-end TE1 while Kittle misses time. He averaged 4.5 catches for 44.5 yards in the games Kittle missed early last season, adding five touchdowns along the way.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #97
ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously reported that the Vikings would try to trade Hargrave before cutting. No takers were found and now Hargrave will be a free agent. Hargrave signed a two-year, $30 million contract with the Vikings amid their spending spree last offseaosn. He amassed 3.5 sacks and wasn’t particularly effective against the run, according to Pro Football Focus. Now a veteran of 10 years, Hargrave should be able to find a new home rather quickly.
  • TB Running Back #44
It would be a one-year, $3.52 million deal if he signs. But it’s a reversal of course from Jeremy Fowler’s report last week that Tucker would be let go. Perhaps the Buccaneers are trying to extract some value, or perhaps noise of a contract for Tucker became known and they reversed course. He can shop this offer around and try to beat it, and we expect him to. Tucker figures to remain third in the Buccaneers RB room pecking order after Kenneth Gainwell signed on this offseason, assuming he stays in Tampa Bay, that is.
  • BAL Safety #21
Hawkins signed with the Pats as a backup two years ago. He was elevated to a starting role in 2025 and put some of his best play on tape. Hawkins totaled six pass breakups, four interceptions, and 1.5 sacks across 15 games. He will likely serve as Jesse Minter’s third safety in Baltimore’s new defense.
  • WAS Tight End #85
It’s possible depending on how deep the Commanders wideout room is and how the (seemingly inevitable) Brandon Aiyuk signing works out that Okonkwo could be a featured player for the pass offense in 2026. But after four years failing to crack 600 yards, we’re skeptical that it will happen in a new arena. He’ll likely remain at least a mid-range fantasy TE2 for the Commanders. It’s a good real-life signing given the fact that Zach Ertz hit free agency with an ACL tear regardless of how his fantasy status ultimately plays out.
  • MIN Running Back #33
The running back takes a pay cut to a base salary of $5.5 million. This move quashes the fantasy value of Jordan Mason, who was looking like he’d head the committee in 2026 by a wide margin. Mason still may wind up leading the Vikings in carries given how often Jones gets hurt, but Jones will probably see at least half the snaps here after agreeing to stay. Jones is more of a high-end RB3 at this stage of his career, as entering his age-32 season he’s started to leave a concerning number of games with injuries and spent time on injured reserve last year.
  • NE Defensive Back #31
Byard likely limited his market a bit by only shopping his services to contenders, but it’s still a coup for the Patriots to add an AP All-Pro first team safety for just $9 million. Entering his age-33 season, Byard has yet to really face any kind of wall by PFF’s grading and has remained capable of playing a ton of snaps. He mostly operates as the deep safety, but has had plenty of work in the box as well and is more than capable of playing in it. Byard will likely be their starting deep safety in 2026.
  • FA Quarterback #1
Murray’s process has been slowed by the Cardinals having not officially released him yet, so this appears to be Rapoport’s way of saying that we shouldn’t expect a deal flying off the second free agency opens later today. But this has been an obvious landing spot for some time and we’re certainly expecting it to come together after Tua Tagovailoa joined the Falcons and the Colts re-signed Daniel Jones to a new contract.
  • SF Wide Receiver #11
Aiyuk has been on the outs with the team for at least a year now and was never going to return to San Francisco in 2026. Wagoner said the Commanders remain the favorite to land Aiyuk after his release, expected to be a post-June 1 designation. Aiyuk, 27, will cost the Niners around $13.3 million in dead money this year and $21.7 million in 2027. If he signs with Washington, the deal will surely be of the prove-it variety.
  • IND Quarterback #17
It can pay him up to $100 million. Negotiating off the transition tag, this honestly isn’t a big bump for Jones. It sounds like a lot of money because of how quickly the cap has gone up, but it puts Jones 12th among starters if he hits his incentives and 17th if he doesn’t, pending restructures for players like Matthew Stafford and cuts ahead of him for Kyler Murray. Jones enters the offseason as Indianapolis’ QB1, but rehabbing a late-season torn Achilles that will make his status for Week 1 shaky. Adam Schefter reports he’s expected to be ready to play Week 1 and may even be available in training camp, but we’re skeptical of that. Jones is best treated as a mid-range superflex QB2 in fantasy while we wait to see if he’ll be able to run full speed again.
