Portland has waived Devontae Cacok and Wes Iwundu.
The Trail Blazers have now trimmed down their roster to 15, and they’re still mulling over who they will ink to a two-way deal. Cacok will likely wind up in the G League, but Iwundu could earn a minimum level deal elsewhere.

Joel Embiid amassed 22 points (8-of-20 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 14 rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer in Sunday’s loss to the Hawks.
HL: Johnson notches 4th straight triple-double
Jalen Johnson was heavily involved against the Philadelphia 76ers, getting another triple-double in a winning effort.
  • PHI Guard #77
VJ Edgecombe accounted for 26 points (9-of-21 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, one block and four three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Hawks.
  • PHI Forward #8
Paul George finished Sunday’s loss to the Hawks with 35 points (11-of-21 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one block and seven three-pointers.
  • ATL Guard #27
Vit Krejčí finished Sunday’s win over the 76ers with 19 points (6-of-9 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and four three-pointers.
While Krejčí’s production has not been consistent enough to make him a factor in fantasy basketball, he’s had his moments. The 19 points scored on Sunday were the most in a game for Krejčí since November 22, when he dropped 21 on the Pelicans. Rostered in five percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been close to a top-100 player over the past two weeks. However, with Trae Young (knee) returning to practice next week and the Hawks being off until Thursday, there’s no need to add Krejčí following his showing against the 76ers.
  • ATL Forward #1
Jalen Johnson accumulated 12 points (5-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds, 12 assists, one steal and one blocked shot in Sunday’s win over the 76ers.
With his most recent triple-double, Johnson made history on Sunday. He’s now up to eight in his career, passing Mookie Blaylock (seven) for the most in franchise history. Also, Johnson’s streak of four straight triple-doubles ties him with Denver’s Nikola Jokić for the longest current run in the NBA. While there is some fear that Trae Young’s eventual return from a knee injury may lower Johnson’s ceiling, fantasy managers should not panic. The Hawks play three games in Week 9, starting with Charlotte on Thursday.
  • ATL Guard #5
Dyson Daniels finished Sunday’s win over the 76ers with 27 points (13-of-19 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer.
For the first time this season, Daniels has recorded a double-double in consecutive games. And in what was his most productive night of the season, the defensive ace notched a season-high point total while shooting well over 50 percent from the field. The question for Daniels is his ability to produce consistent offense when Trae Young (knee) is available, as the point guard is expected to resume practicing sometime next week. He’ll need to if he’s to get closer to his Yahoo! ADP (38).
  • ATL Forward-Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu accounted for 20 points (6-of-17 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 15 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and five three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the 76ers.
While Okongwu finished Sunday’s victory with his sixth double-double of the season and first since November 30, his field-goal percentage left something to be desired. The Hawks’ center shot 1-of-7 inside the arc while making 50 percent of his three-point attempts. That said, the overall stat line more than compensates for the poor shooting. With Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) out for at least two weeks, now is the time for fantasy managers to go all-in on Okongwu. Atlanta plays three games in the final four days of Week 9, starting on Thursday.
  • POR Center #23
Deni Avdija, Shaedon Sharpe, Toumani Camara, Jerami Grant and Donovan Clingan will start Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
The lone change to the starting lineup is Clingan, who is back after missing three games with a leg injury. Kris Murray heads back to the bench, and he won’t play any minutes at center since Robert Williams III and Yang Hansen are also available.
  • GSW Forward #23
Stephen Curry, Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler III, Draymond Green and Quinten Post will start Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Green is back in the lineup after missing three games with a foot injury. However, with Portland employing a legitimate center in its lineup, Post will remain with the starters. The other change to the starting lineup is Moody, with Buddy Hield and Pat Spencer heading to the bench.
  • MIN Center #27
Rudy Gobert (personal) will not return to Sunday’s game against the Kings.
Gobert left Sunday’s game for personal reasons early in the second half. Expect to see plenty of Naz Reid as the Timberwolves look to hold on for the victory. Minnesota’s next game is on Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
