Bennedict Mathurin played 36 minutes in Thursday’s 126-124 win over the Bucks, tallying 26 points (9-of-18 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers.
One night removed from missing out on his first double-double by one rebound, Mathurin finished the drill Thursday night. In wins over the Jazz and Bucks, he recorded totals of 48 points, 20 rebounds, six assists, three steals, one blocked shot, and seven 3-pointers, shooting 50% from the field and 83.3% from the foul line. A better option in points leagues than category leagues, Mathurin’s path to becoming a better asset in the latter is to have more nights like the last two. He doesn’t have to record a double-double every night, but fantasy managers need more all-around production from him. He heads into Indiana’s final game of the week (Sunday at Philadelphia) ranked outside the top 200 in 9-cat per-game value.
