Donte DiVincenzo shot 4-of-8 from the field in Thursday’s 118-112 win over the Pistons, scoring 12 points with three rebounds, two assists, one block, and four 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
DiVincenzo may still be backing up Quentin Grimes, but he’s unquestionably the better player to have rostered in fantasy leagues right now. Shooting 4-of-8 from three, DiVincenzo has been close to a top 100 player in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks. Grimes, who is also rostered in seven percent of Yahoo leagues, was 0-of-5 from the field on Thursday, going scoreless with one rebound and two steals in 16 minutes. During this two-week run, DiVincenzo has played more, and it’s fair to wonder if Tom Thibodeau will consider a change to the starting lineup. Grimes takes on the toughest defensive matchup on the perimeter, but it isn’t like DiVincenzo isn’t a capable defender himself.
