Derrick White finished Monday’s 122-112 loss to the Pacers with 18 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, eight assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
While some fantasy managers cooled on White after the Celtics acquired Jrue Holiday just before the start of training camp, he’s been an excellent fantasy option. White’s ranked just outside the top 50 in 9-cat per-game value, and Basketball Monster has him 50th in 8-cat, well above his Yahoo ADP of 87. By comparison, Holiday is just outside the top 100 in 9-cat, and he finished Monday’s defeat with a pedestrian line of nine points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes. Holiday should be fine in the long run, but White is the bigger story in fantasy basketball.
