Javon Freeman-Liberty amassed 24 points (7-of-14 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in Wednesday’s 86-76 loss to Utah, playing 24 minutes.
With Gradey Dick (ankle) sidelined, the Raptors needed to get additional offense from someone on Wednesday. Enter Freeman-Liberty, who led all players with 24 points and was Toronto’s lone double-digit scorer. While he does have a contract for next season, it will not become fully guaranteed until January 10. Given Freeman-Liberty’s play in Las Vegas, he’s taking steps toward ensuring his future in Toronto. Whether or not that’s enough to make him fantasy-relevant remains to be seen.
