Julian Phillips played 33 minutes in Friday’s 103-99 win over the Hawks, accounting for 21 points (6-of-10 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), two rebounds, three steals, one blocked shot, and four 3-pointers.
Friday’s performance was Phillips’ best of summer league, as the second-year wing shot 4-of-7 from three and tallied four “stocks.” While lottery pick Matas Buzelis has dominated the early conversations, fantasy managers should not ignore Phillips. He didn’t play significant minutes as a rookie, but DeMar DeRozan’s departure will free up opportunities for the 2023 second-round pick. How much Phillips plays will depend on the health of Patrick Williams (he’ll be good to go for the start of next season) and whether or not the Bulls will commit to a rebuild or continue to chase a play-in tournament spot.
  • TOR Guard #14

Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Thunder.
Walter has missed Toronto’s last six games, freeing up additional minutes for Ochai Agbaji and Gradey Dick. With RJ Barrett returning from an ankle injury on Friday, there’s no need to stream Agbaji or Gradey if Walter remains out.
Liffmann: DAL 'team to watch' in trade deadline
Grant Liffmann unpacks the current state of the Dallas Mavericks ahead of the NBA trade deadline, explaining why the team and Anthony Davis are among the ones to watch before the deadline hits.
  • Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Thunder.
Murray-Boyles has missed Toronto’s last three games, with Sandro Mamukelashvili replacing him in the lineup for Friday’s win over the Trail Blazers. Even if Murray-Boyles can play on Sunday, Mamu is worth holding onto due to Jakob Poeltl (back) being out indefinitely.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (knee) is available for Saturday’s game against the Cavaliers.
After an eight-game absence, Suggs is available for the Magic. His return will likely push Tristan da Silva to the bench, but fantasy managers should plan for Suggs’ minutes to be restricted.
  • Jonas Valančiūnas (calf) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Valančiūnas did not play in Friday’s win over the Bucks, with Zeke Nnaji starting in his place and playing 37 minutes. Given Denver’s lack of depth in the frontcourt, Nnaji would be worth streaming in deep leagues if he starts.
  • DEN Guard #8
Peyton Watson (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Watson did not play in Friday’s win over the Bucks, resulting in Spencer Jones returning to the starting lineup. With Aaron Gordon suffering a strained hamstring during Friday’s game, Jones will likely remain in the starting lineup even if Watson plays.
  • DEN Guard #27
Jamal Murray (hamstring, hip) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Murray was held out of Friday’s win over the Bucks, with Julian Strawther replacing him in the starting lineup. Despite a 1-of-6 night from three, the former first-round pick was productive in that role, finishing with 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer. Strawther and Tim Hardaway Jr. will be worth a look in fantasy leagues if Murray remains out.
  • DEN Guard #0
Christian Braun (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Sunday’s game will be the ninth that Braun has missed as he continues to work his way from a sprained left ankle initially suffered in mid-November. With Jamal Murray also out, the Nuggets started Julian Strawther in Friday’s win over the Bucks. Murray is listed as questionable for Sunday; if he can play, Strawther will head to the bench.
  • NOP Guard #15
Jose Alvarado (oblique) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Spurs.
Alvarado has not appeared in a game since January 6, when he suffered a strained oblique during a loss to the Lakers. His return may result in fewer minutes for Micah Peavy, who played 16 off the bench in Friday’s win over the Grizzlies. This would not have a significant impact on fantasy basketball.
  • DET Guard #2
Cade Cunningham (left hip injury management) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
Cunningham is likely to suit up Sunday against the Kings given his probable listing, though he’s on the injury report for left hip injury management reasons. It’s difficult to ignore the 24-year-old point guard’s struggles recently as he’s been held under 20 points in each of the last four games. Cunningham, who’s averaging 25.3 points per game this season, will likely have the chance to bounce back against the Kings on Sunday.
  • MIN Guard #5
The NBA has postponed Saturday’s game between the Warriors and Timberwolves.
In the aftermath of Saturday’s killing of a man by federal agents, the league has decided to postpone Saturday’s game. The two teams will play on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Eastern, meaning the Warriors and Timberwolves will meet on consecutive nights.
