Wizards selected Tre Johnson with the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
There may not be a better pure scorer in this class than Johnson. He averaged 19.9 points per game for Texas last season, which led all freshmen in Division I. He did that as the focal point of the offense in a tough conference. The 6’6” guard boasts a 6’10.25” wingspan and won’t turn 20 years old until March. Johnson also averaged 3.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 triples per game. His 42.7 field goal percentage was subpar, but his 39.7 three-point percentage and 87.1 free throw percentage both showcase that Johnson will be a knockdown shooter at the next level. He can create his own shot and knock down catch-and-shoot looks, which makes him a versatile piece to add to any offense. Tre joins a rebuilding Wizards franchise that added three first-round picks to its roster last June. The natural scoring ability should mesh well with a team that is looking for a “No. 1 option” on offense.

Ivica Zubac tallied 15 points (7-of-14 FGs, 1-of-5 FTs), 13 rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
HLs: Timberwolves complete comeback vs. Clippers
Despite being in a 14-point hole coming out of halftime, the Timberwolves came out swinging in the second half to mount a comeback against the Clippers and seal a win in front of the home crowd at Target Center.
  • LAC Forward #2
Kawhi Leonard accounted for 20 points (8-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, two assists and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
  • LAC Guard #1
James Harden finished Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves with 34 points (10-of-18 FGs, 13-of-15 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, four steals, one block and one three-pointer.
  • MIN Center-Forward #11
Naz Reid accounted for 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), nine rebounds, three assists and five three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Clippers.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards shot 3-of-11 from the field and 9-of-9 from the foul line in Saturday’s win over the Clippers, scoring 11 points with six rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks.
  • MIN Forward #3
Jaden McDaniels amassed 27 points (10-of-13 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), one rebound, two assists, two steals, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Clippers.
  • MIN Forward-Center #30
Julius Randle amassed 24 points (6-of-15 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), three rebounds, six assists and one three-pointer in Saturday’s win over the Clippers.
On a night when Anthony Edwards was limited to 3-of-11 shooting, Randle was one of the Timberwolves who stepped up to help erase a slow start. He’s scored at least 22 points in three of his last four outings, but the decreases in points and field-goal percentage are why Randle has only been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, that isn’t a reason to panic, as Randle’s season-long value remains high. Minnesota has an excellent schedule for those competing in leagues that don’t combine Weeks 8 and 9, as they’ll play three games next week.
  • MIA Guard #11
Jaime Jaquez Jr. finished Saturday’s loss to the Kings with 27 points (9-of-15 FGs, 8-of-12 FTs), six rebounds, six assists and one three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Kings.
Jaquez has scored at least 20 points in seven games this season after enjoying two such games during the entire 2024-25 campaign. The 27 points scored against the Kings were the most for him since November 2, when he dropped a season-high 31 on the Lakers. With the Heat getting closer to full strength recently (Tyler Herro and Davion Mitchell did not play on Saturday), Jaquez’s fantasy value has taken a hit. However, that has been due to lackluster defensive production, despite the offensive numbers being there.
  • MIA Forward #0
Simone Fontecchio amassed 20 points (8-of-14 FGs), seven rebounds and four three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Kings.
On a night when the Heat were without Tyler Herro and most of the starting lineup struggled, Fontecchio had his most productive night of the season. He hit the 20-point mark for the first time this season, and the four three-pointers were the most in a game for Fontecchio since November 17. A bonus for the few who have him rostered was the seven rebounds. However, for as well as he played, Fontecchio still hasn’t reached the point where he can be relied on for consistent fantasy value.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell notched 18 points (6-of-14 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Kings.
The Heat starters struggled on Saturday, with Powell and Andrew Wiggins (13/4/4 with one three-pointer) being the only ones in double figures. And while the former offered solid production in points and percentages, his production outside of those categories was meager. Powell is still providing top-50 fantasy value, so managers have little to worry about going into Week 8. The Heat visit Orlando on Tuesday in an NBA Cup quarterfinal matchup, with the winner heading to Las Vegas.
