Brandon Miller amassed a team-high 28 points (11-of-19 FGs), six rebounds, five assists over 30 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Warriors.
Miller came out of the gate hot and finished 6-of-11 from three-point range, falling just short of reaching the 30-point mark for the third time this season. The issue for Charlotte in this one was one the defensive end of the floor as they allowed Golden State to pile up 136 points on 55 percent (51-of-93) shooting, including 44 percent (23-of-52) from beyond the arc. The Hornets have a three-game week coming up with matchups against the Cavaliers, Magic and Wizards.

Marvin Bagley III (illness) and AJ Johnson (illness) are questionable for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.
Bagley’s status is more impactful, as he serves as Alex Sarr’s backup while Johnson is not in the Wizards’ rotation on most nights. With Tristan Vukčević (hamstring) out, the Wizards would have to go small if Bagley doesn’t play. However, neither he nor Johnson moves the needle in fantasy basketball.
    Miller: Knicks aren't clicking 'chemistry-wise'
NBA on NBC lead analyst Reggie Miller joins the Dan Patrick Show to discuss the latest news surrounding the NBA, such as the Knicks' poor run of form, Jimmy Butler's injury and more.
  • WAS Forward #22
Khris Middleton (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.
Middleton is one of three Wizards players listed as questionable for Thursday’s game due to illness. However, he’s the only one who’s a lock to start if available. Who would replace Middleton in the lineup may depend on Bilal Coulibaly, who’s questionable with a lower back strain. If Coulibaly can play after a three-game absence, the Wizards could go small and keep Bub Carrington in the starting five.
  • WAS Guard #0
Bilal Coulibaly (back) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.
Coulibaly has missed Washington’s last three games with a lower back strain, opening up a spot in the starting lineup for Bub Carrington. The second-year guard should remain in the starting five if Coulibaly has to miss a fourth consecutive game.
  • CHI Forward #44
Patrick Williams (ankle) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Williams has missed Chicago’s last two games with a sprained right ankle. His availability may result in more minutes for Kevin Huerter, but it does not affect fantasy basketball in any other way.
  • CHI Guard #3
Josh Giddey (hamstring) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Giddey was also questionable ahead of Tuesday’s win over the Clippers before being ruled out. He last appeared in a game on December 29, with Tre Jones serving as the replacement in the starting lineup.
  • ORL Guard #13
Jett Howard (illness) is off the injury report for Thursday’s matchup with Charlotte.
Howard will be available after sitting out on Sunday against the Grizzlies, but his status does not impact fantasy basketball due to his limited role within Orlando’s rotation.
  • SAC Forward-Center #11
Domantas Sabonis (knee) is out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Raptors, and Precious Achiuwa (ankle) is questionable.
Sabonis will get a maintenance day for the second leg of Sacramento’s back-to-back set, and with Achiuwa questionable, Maxime Raynaud could be in line to start against Toronto. Dylan Cardwell would likely be Raynaud’s backup, and Cardwell is worth a look in deeper leagues as a streamer for rebounds and blocked shots.
  • Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) is out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Kings.
CMB will miss a second straight game, and with Jakob Poeltl (back) still out, more minutes should be available for Sandro Mamukelashvili. Toronto went small on Tuesday and didn’t start a true center, but Mamu still had a productive showing off the bench. He’s worth streaming until Murray-Boyles and Poeltl return.
  • TOR Forward-Guard #9
RJ Barrett (ankle) and Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) are out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Kings.
Despite a report that Barrett hoped to play Wednesday, he’ll be sidelined for a seventh straight game. Jamal Shead should continue to see additional minutes until Barrett is back, and with Walter still out, Gradey Dick could take on an expanded role.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (knee) is questionable for Thursday’s matchup with the Hornets.
Suggs has a chance to return following a seventh straight absence, and he may see a minutes restriction if he’s cleared to take the court. Suggs’ return will negatively impact the fantasy impact of Tyus Jones and Tristan da Silva, but Anthony Black has played too well to see a major dropoff.
