Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga have reportedly been traded to the Hawks for Kristaps Porziņǵis.

Days after trading Vit Krejčí to the Trail Blazers, the Hawks have added a shooter to their ranks in Hield. The consistent minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball were challenging to come by in the Bay Area when the Warriors were whole, so the change of scenery may do Hield some good. In 44 appearances, he averaged 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 three-pointers in 17.5 minutes per game.

Terry was traded from Chicago to New York late Wednesday night and has been moved again about 12 hours later. New Orleans could have a place for him in the rotation, especially if they shift towards a true tank, even if they don’t have their first-round pick. Terry could hold some value during silly season, but he shouldn’t be rostered at this point.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Jose Alvarado has been traded to the Knicks in exchange for Dalen Terry, two second-round picks and cash.

Alvarado will provide some extra depth in the backcourt for New York, meaning he’ll join Miles McBride, Tyler Kolek and Jordan Clarkson in the rotation. Unless more moves are coming, that won’t leave enough minutes for any of them to provide value in standard leagues, barring an injury to a starter. Alvarado’s defense and playmaking should help the Knicks when Brunson is off the floor in the postseason.

RJ Barrett

RJ Barrett (injury management) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Bulls.

Barrett has dealt with his fair share of injuries this season, but his name has also been floated in numerous trade rumors, so it’s possible that he is also on his way to another team. Regardless, he will be out on Thursday, which should lead to more minutes for Ja’Kobe Walker and Gradey Dick.

Boucher has barely seen the floor for the Celtics this season, and while he’ll now get a fresh start in Utah, that likely won’t impact his place in the rotation. If they keep him around, Boucher will be a bench piece for them.

Nigel Hayes-Davis

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Bucks acquired Nigel Hayes-Davis and Nick Richards from the Suns in exchange for Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey.

Hayes-Davis heads back to the state of Wisconsin, where he was a star at the University of Wisconsin in college. The 31-year-old returned to the NBA this season after playing seven years abroad. He’s averaging just 7.2 minutes per game in 27 games for the Suns.

Amir Coffey

PHX Guard-Forward #17

Amir Coffey has been traded to the Suns.

Coffey has barely been in the rotation for the Bucks this season, and now he’ll become a depth piece for Phoenix. He may see a few minutes per game, but he won’t play a large role with the Suns, barring multiple injuries on the wing.

Nick Richards

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Bucks acquired Nick Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis from the Suns in exchange for Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey.

Richards has appeared in just 28 games for the Suns this season, starting two, after starting 43 games for the Hornets and Suns last year. He’ll give the Bucks more depth at center and could even play alongside Myles Turner if the Bucks want to stretch Turner out on offense. Historically, Richards has not produced much defensive value in fantasy, which limits his overall usefulness. He should probably be left on the wire in most formats.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Suns have acquired Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey in exchange for Nick Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis.

Anthony’s first season in Milwaukee was shaky, and they’ll move on from him quickly to acquired depth at center. Anthony will be a depth guard for Phoenix, but he hasn’t made much of a fantasy impact this year, and there is too much depth in the backcourt in Phoenix for that to change.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Bucks plan to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo through the trade deadline.

Despite all the reports that Milwaukee was looking to move Giannis, they will keep him through the season, though managers shouldn’t expect to see him often. He’s currently sidelined with a calf injury, and there is no reason for them to rush him back. Of course, this isn’t going to quiet any trade rumors, and teams will be revisiting a potential deal this offseason.

Haywood Highsmith

Nets waived Haywood Highsmith.

Brooklyn acquired Highsmith from Miami in August after undergoing knee surgery that was supposed to keep him out 8-10 weeks. He never ended up suiting up for Brooklyn, and now he’ll enter free agency.
