Scottie Barnes amassed 17 points (6-of-12 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Mavericks.
Barnes finished Sunday’s 30-point victory with a complete stat line, recording those numbers efficiently. In addition to shooting 50 percent from the field, the All-Satr forward committed just one turnover in 35 minutes. The ability to fill a stat line consistently has made Barnes one of the best players to roster in category leagues, and that should remain the case for years to come.

Jamal Shead, RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram, Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl will start Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
The Raptors welcome back Ingram and Poeltl after not having them on Monday, but Immanuel Quickley remains out. The returns of Ingram and Poeltl mean that Ja’Kobe Walter and Sandro Mamukelashvili head to the bench, while Shead will make another start for Quickley.
Potential fixes to help curb tanking in the NBA
Grant Liffmann joins Chris Mannix to discuss the potential changes the NBA could make to help disincentivize tanking.
  • ATL Guard #3
CJ McCollum had 27 points (10-of-21 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, five assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Pistons.
  • ATL Forward #1
Jalen Johnson had 27 points (9-of-18 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), eight rebounds, 12 assists and two three-pointers in the Hawks’ 130-129 overtime victory over the Pistons on Wednesday.
Johnson returned from a two-game absence due to left shoulder inflammation and was excellent while playing 42 minutes in the overtime win over the Pistons Wednesday. The 24-year-old small forward was just two rebounds shy of a triple-double. The Hawks have two more games this week with a back-to-back against the Celtics and Kings on Friday and Saturday.
  • CHI Guard #3
Josh Giddey had 23 points (8-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds, 12 assists, one block and three three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the 76ers.
Giddey was efficient with 23 points on 13 attempts, three three-pointers and 12 assists. Still, the Bulls couldn’t hang with the 76ers and the 23-year-old point guard ended up -15 in 33 minutes. Giddey has provided first-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Bulls have two more games this week with a back-to-back against the Thunder and Grizzlies on Friday and Saturday.
  • PHI Guard #77
VJ Edgecombe had 22 points (7-of-9 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, six assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls.
Edgecombe had scored at least 35 points in two of his last three games, but it’s difficult to project that ceiling with Joel Embiid and Paul George back in the lineup. Both Embiid and George took more shots than the 20-year-old point guard on Wednesday. Edgecombe was efficient with 22 points on nine attempts and four three-pointers, but his volume took a hit.
  • IND Guard #9
T.J. McConnell produced 17 points (8-of-10 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal and one blocked shot in Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers.
  • IND Center #32
Jay Huff tallied 18 points (7-of-10 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers.
  • IND Guard-Forward #2
Andrew Nembhard finished Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers with 14 points (3-of-9 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, 19 assists and two three-pointers.
  • LAL Guard #15
Austin Reaves accumulated 25 points (7-of-16 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), one rebound, eight assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Pacers.
  • LAL Forward #23
LeBron James accounted for 23 points (9-of-16 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), nine rebounds, nine assists and one steal in Wednesday’s win over the Pacers.
LeBron looked sharp on Wednesday, finishing one rebound and one assist shy of a triple-double while committing one turnover. And despite his role not being as prominent within the Lakers’ rotation, the 41-year-old has still provided third-round value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. The lone negative for managers rostering James is that the Lakers play once more in Week 22. The positive is that said game is against the Nets, which could be an opportunity for LeBron to put up some gaudy stats.
