Koby Brea lit up the Thunder with 20 points (7-of-11 FGs), five rebounds, three assists and six three-pointers on Sunday.
The summer league star hasn’t played much during his rookie season, but with the Suns locked in as the seventh seed, he played 29 minutes off the bench, which led to the best offensive performance of his career. Brea showed a ton of scoring potential this summer, which is why Phoenix added him with the 41st pick. He likely won’t see the floor during the postseason, but this was an encouraging performance for him.

Austin Reaves (oblique) is out for Friday’s Game 3 against the Rockets.
Reaves was initially listed as questionable and considered a game-time decision. After working out on the court pregame, he was ruled out. Luke Kennard will continue to start and put up points without Reaves, who hasn’t played since April 2.

  • Nickeil Alexander-Walker was named the NBA’s 2025-26 Most Improved Player.
Alexander-Walker exploded with a career year in his first season with the Hawks. The 27-year-old shooting guard averaged 20.8 points, 1.3 steals and 3.2 three-pointers while shooting 45 percent from the field and 39 percent from behind the three-point line. Alexander-Walker set the Hawks record for three-pointers made in a season. Atlanta holds a 2-1 series lead over the Knicks heading into Saturday’s Game 4.
  • HOU Forward #7
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Kevin Durant (ankle) is out for Game 3 against the Lakers on Friday.
Durant missed Game 1 with a tendon bruise in his right knee and is now set to miss Game 3 with a sprained left ankle he suffered in Game 2. Reed Sheppard is an option to move into the starting lineup with Durant out. The injury is certainly a blow to the Rockets and a break for the Lakers.
  • PHI Center-Forward #21
Joel Embiid (appendicitis) is out for Game 3 against the Celtics on Friday.
Embiid has missed two weeks since being diagnosed with appendicitis. He was initially deemed doubtful on the injury report, which was a step in the right direction. Andre Drummond and Adem Bona will continue to handle the center minutes with Embiid still sidelined.
  • Immanuel Quickley (hamstring) will miss the rest of the Raptors’ first round series against the Cavaliers.
Quickley isn’t going to play at all in the Raptors’ first round series against the Cavaliers. The 26-year-old point guard suffered a hamstring injury during the regular season finale and missed the first three games of the series. Now Quickley has been ruled out for the rest of the series after having a setback during the rehab process. His absence remains a major blow to the Raptors and a break for the Cavaliers.
  • ORL Forward #1
Jonathan Isaac (knee) is doubtful for Saturday’s Game 3 against the Pistons.
Isaac has been on the injury report for all three games in this series and was ruled out of the first two. Even if the 28-year-old power forward is available for Game 3, don’t expect him to play much at all on Saturday.
  • PHX Center #15
Mark Williams (foot) is out for Sunday’s Game 3 against the Thunder.
Williams still hasn’t played since the first Play-In game. With the 24-year-old center sidelined in Game 2, Oso Ighodaro started and had seven points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes. Ighodaro will likely remain in the starting lineup as long as Williams is out.
  • SAS Forward-Center #1
According to The Athletic’s Jared Weiss, Victor Wembanyama (concussion protocol) participated in Friday’s shootaround, and he is officially considered questionable for Game 3 against the Trail Blazers.
Wemby is in the concussion protocol, but his participation in Friday’s shootaround bodes well for his health. More information on his status should be available closer to tip-off. If Wembanyama is ultimately ruled out, Luke Kornet would presumably slot in as San Antonio’s starting center.
  • DEN Forward #21
Spencer Jones had six points (2-of-3 FGs), one rebound, one block and two three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
Jones got the start for the injured Aaron Gordon (calf) but didn’t make much of an impact. In his 28 minutes, he made his only two three-point shots but was otherwise mostly unproductive in terms of his counting stats. If Gordon misses Game 4, there’s a chance Jones could start again.
  • DEN Guard #27
Jamal Murray finished with 16 points (5-of-17 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), three rebounds and four assists in Thursday’s loss.
Murray had by far his worst game of the series on Thursday. He struggled with the length of Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels throughout the contest and failed to generate many clean looks. Murray didn’t convert any of his three-point attempts in Game 3, and in addition to his scoring struggles, produced only four assists. Denver’s offense couldn’t figure out Minnesota’s defense in Game 3, and it’ll need to be much better on Saturday.
