Rockies 1B/OF prospect Charlie Condon went 3-for-5 with a walk, a double, a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI for Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Condon now has four home runs and nine RBI on the season while slashing .325/.438/1.113 in 10 games. He does have an 11/7 K/BB ratio, so there are some swing-and-miss issues to work out, but it’s hard to deny what the 22-year-old is doing at this level right now. He has played both first base and right field this season, so that gives the Rockies two potential spots to play him if he keeps hitting like this into the month of May.
Noelvi Marte

CIN Right Fielder #4

Reds optioned OF Noelvi Marte to Triple-A Louisville

This isn’t a huge surprise if you’ve been tracking Marte’s playing time, but it is pretty big news considering where he was going in fantasy drafts. The 24-year-old is hitting just .138/.194/.138 in 11 games with a 10/2 K/BB ratio. He has played league-average defense in the outfield, which is a small win, but not one that seemed to matter enough for the Reds. He will head down to Triple-A to try to rein in some of his over-aggressive tendencies and figure out why he is pounding the ball into the ground so much to begin the season.
Chris Sale

ATL Starting Pitcher #51

Chris Sale held the Guardians to one run over six innings while cruising to a win Sunday in the Braves’ 13-1 rout.

Sale allowed eight hits, but only Rhys Hoskins’ homer in the sixth mattered, and the Braves had a 9-0 lead before that happened. Sale was again right around 96 mph with his fastball tonight. He slipped to 92.5 mph while ill in his second start of the year, but he’s been right near 96 in his other three starts. He’ll likely make his next start in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Tommy Pham

NYM Center Fielder #28

Sources told The Athletic that the Mets are calling up Tommy Pham from Triple-A Syracuse.

This is pretty aggressive. Pham, signed to a minor league deal on Opening Day, didn’t play this spring. His only minor league action consists of him going 2-for-12 in five games in A ball. And he was basically a zero WAR guy the last two years. No word yet on who is going down. Ronny Mauricio would seem to be logical choice, even if it leaves the Mets a little short-handed in the infield.
Brice Turang

MIL 2nd Baseman #2

Brice Turang went 3-for-4 with two homers, a walk and three runs scored Sunday against the Nationals.

Turang’s hardest-hit ball through his first two big-league seasons (2023 and ’24) was 108.3 mph. He topped 104 mph on three percent of his balls in play. Today, he came in at 109.6 and 104.0 mph on his homers and 106.9 mph on a line-drive single. He’s hitting .298/.441/.617 with three homers and five steals in 13 games.
Roki Sasaki

LAD Starting Pitcher #11

Roki Sasaki gave up two runs over four innings with six strikeouts in a loss versus the Rangers on Sunday.

Sasaki had quality stuff in Sunday’s loss, which isn’t a surprise. He was able to procure 15 swings and misses among his 94 pitches, and his slider was particularly effective; generating five whiffs on 11 swings. The issue was once again control, as he walked five hitters and threw just 51 of those 94 pitches for strikes. There’s no denying that Sasaki has the swing-and-miss stuff to be one of the best fantasy starters in baseball, but until he figures out how to locate it, there are going to be more outings like this that frustrate more than satisfy. He’s scheduled to face the Rockies in Colorado next Sunday.
Jacob deGrom

TEX Starting Pitcher #48

Jacob deGrom struck out nine over six innings of one-run baseball to get the win in a 5-2 victory for the Rangers on Sunday over the Dodgers.

After giving up a homer to Cal Raleigh in the first inning in his last outing, deGrom gave up another solo dinger early, this time to Shohei Ohtani. From that point on, the 37-year-old was fantastic, allowing only three more hits and generating 15 swings and misses in the contest before exiting. His fastball averaged 97.2 mph, so the minor knee discomfort he was dealing with clearly didn’t have a major affect during Sunday’s bout. He’ll have a good chance to miss more bats when he faces the Mariners on Friday in Seattle.
Jackson Merrill

SD Center Fielder #3

Jackson Merrill homered and stole a base in a win for the Padres on Sunday over the Rockies.

After not stealing a base for a full calendar year, Merrill now has three swiped bags over the past week. The homer was also his third of the campaign, and while his overall numbers may not reflect it (.217/.288/.417), there have been more than enough flashes to suggest a big season is coming for Merrill. It’s too early to guarantee any such thing, but this is beyond encouraging.
Ty France

SD 1st Baseman #25

Ty France went 3-for-3 with a homer in a 7-2 rout of the Rockies on Sunday.

France also doubled along with a single for the three-hit game. The 31-year-old has his first homer of the campaign in his return to the Padres, and his first RBI for good measure. France was once among the better first-base options in fantasy circles, but he’s not someone who can be counted on in formats at this stage of his career. Sunday was a fun reminder of what once was, however, and it’s not out of the question the 31-year-old has a bounceback campaign in 2026.
Logan Gilbert

SEA Starting Pitcher #36

Logan Gilbert limited the Astros to one run over seven innings while picking up a win in a 6-1 victory for the Mariners on Sunday.

It’s the first win of the season for Gilbert, and more importantly, it’s the first time that he’s been able to complete seven innings since Opening Day last year. The right-hander was excellent; generating 15 swings-and-misses to pick up seven strikeouts, and the only run allowed was a solo homer by Yainer Diaz that scraped over the left-field walk. After two shaky starts to begin the year, Gilbert has looked the part in his last two outings while allowing just three runs over those 13 frames. He’ll face the Rangers at home Friday in a matchup with Jacob deGrom.
