Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said Wednesday that T.J. McConnell (hamstring) is “doing better” and getting closer to a return to action.

McConnell has not played in a game this season due to a strained right hamstring. However, he is progressing in his recovery and passing some tests set by the Pacers’ training staff. McConnell could return to the court in a week or so, which is good news for a team that won’t have Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) for a few weeks.
