Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on Friday that Calvin Booth has been promoted to replace Tim Connelly as Denver’s President of Basketball Operations.

Booth has been working in Denver’s front office since 2017 and was promoted to GM in 2020. Booth was basically next in line and will try and fill the void left by Connelly. Denver avoids an outside hire and sticks with a familiar face to try and continue to build the team around Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr.

Post left Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves with a sprained ankle, but ended up starting with the Warriors extremely short-handed against the Knicks on Sunday. The 25-year-old center was just a desperation play at the end of the week, but came through and had 22 points and four three-pointers. The Warriors have four games upcoming in Week 21, starting with a matchup against the Wizards on Monday.

Gui Santos had 20 points (7-of-12 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Knicks.

Santos has now scored at least 20 points twice in his last five games. The 23-year-old small forward isn’t known for his scoring, though, as he has no other 20-point games this year. Santos had an excellent game against the Knicks with seven rebounds and seven assists as well. Whether he continues to start or not, Santos will still have a significant role for the Warriors once Stephen Curry (knee) returns in a week.

Brandin Podziemski

GSW Guard #2

Brandin Podziemski had 25 points (8-of-15 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Knicks.

Podziemski had 25 points for the second straight game. The 23-year-old guard has the skillset to contribute in other categories as well, which has led to him providing sixth-round per game value since the All-Star break. Podziemski has shown he’s worth rostering in standard leagues while Stephen Curry (knee) is still out.

Karl-Anthony Towns

NYK Center-Forward #32

Karl-Anthony Towns had 17 points (7-of-12 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in Sunday’s win over the Warriors.

Towns missed Friday’s win over the Pacers with a knee injury, but returned Sunday and had an excellent game in the win over the Warriors. The 30-year-old center had 17 points and 12 rebounds, recording a double-double. Towns has provided first-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Knicks have three games upcoming in Week 21, starting with a matchup against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Jalen Brunson

NYK Guard #11

Jalen Brunson had 30 points (9-of-20 FGs, 10-of-10 FTs), one rebound, nine assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in the Knicks’ 110-107 victory over the Warriors on Sunday.

The Knicks fell behind early on Sunday, losing the first quarter 35-21, but it was all New York for the rest of the game. Brunson led the way with 30 points and nine assists, falling just short of a double-double. The 29-year-old point guard has provided sixth-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Knicks have three games upcoming in Week 21, starting with a matchup against the Pacers on Tuesday.

Drew Eubanks

SAC Forward-Center #19

Drew Eubanks (thumb) underwent surgery to repair the torn UCL in his left thumb.

Eubanks most recently played 15 minutes in a March 11 loss to the Hornets, and the left thumb has been an issue for most of this season. A fracture suffered in December limited the veteran backup to six appearances over a two-plus-month stretch, and a torn ulnar collateral ligament suffered recently required surgery. While the Kings have not yet provided an official timeline, Eubanks is unlikely to return in time to add value to fantasy rosters.

Killian Hayes

SAC Guard #3

Killian Hayes, Nique Clifford, DeMar DeRozan, Precious Achiuwa and Maxime Raynaud will start Sunday’s game against the Jazz.

With Russell Westbrook (foot) sitting out Sunday’s game, Hayes will make his first start since agreeing to a standard, two-year contract earlier Sunday. While he still can’t be trusted fully in fantasy leagues, the point guard should play enough on Sunday to merit consideration from fantasy managers in dire need of an active player for the final game of Week 20.

EJ Harkless

UTA Point Guard #16
Isaiah Collier, EJ Harkless, Brice Sensabaugh, Cody Williams and Andersson Garcia will start Sunday’s game against the Kings.

The Jazz are without Ace Bailey and Kyle Filipowski, the former having entered concussion protocol and the latter not playing for rest reasons. They’ve been replaced in the lineup by Harkless and Garcia, with the former offering a higher short-term fantasy ceiling.

Draymond Green

GSW Forward #23

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said he hopes to get Draymond Green (back) in the lineup as soon as Monday’s game against the Wizards.

While the Warriors remain shorthanded, they may be getting healthier. Green, who was a late scratch ahead of Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves, was also ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Knicks. He could be back as soon as Monday, the first of four games the Warriors will play in Week 21. And with Al Horford (calf) out for at least one week, Green’s return would give the Warriors a needed boost.

Kristaps Porziņģis

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said before Sunday’s game against the Knicks that he expects Kristaps Porziņǵis (illness) and De’Anthony Melton (knee) to play in Monday’s game against the Wizards.

Porziņǵis and Melton were held out of Sunday’s game after starting Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves. With the back-to-back, there was likely going to be one of the next two games that they would miss, so there was no surprise there. Will Richard and Quinten Post may head to the bench on Monday, but they’ll both be part of the rotation due to the Warriors’ many injuries.
