  • TEN Quarterback #1

Ward’s unorthodox delivery was hotly debated last winter ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, when Ward, 23, went first overall to the Titans. His mechanics have been shaky at times in his miserable rookie campaign in Tennessee. “While beauty is in the eye of the beholder with a QB’s delivery, there are some around the NFL who are concerned his accuracy will have a ceiling if he doesn’t refine his mechanics,” Howe said. One NFL evaluator who spoke to Howe said Ward’s scrambling ability could compensate for his inaccuracy over the long haul (Ward ranks 31st out of 33 qualifying quarterbacks in completion rate over expected). “The great equalizer is his ability to scramble and make plays,” an NFL executive said. “Who knows if he’ll ever be strong on schedule. It’s hard to know how much it’s sustainable to make plays off schedule outside of the offense.” Perhaps a new coaching staff can clean up Ward’s iffy throwing motion ahead of the 2026 season.
  • ATL Running Back #7
Robinson accounted for 229 of the team’s 345 yards of total offense on the evening, with his two first half touchdowns contributing to a 21-0 lead at the half. Those exploits included the longest rush of his career, college included, when he sprung free on an outside zone run for a 93-yard touchdown at the end of the second quarter. He would see his workload siphoned away by Tyler Allgeier after the break, as has been customary for the Falcons this season. That said, Allgeier gained only 23 yards on his 10 touches - all carries. His eight targets were also double that of any other Atlanta pass-catcher, hitting 30 opportunities for the second time in the last three games. Robinson should remain a top tier, first-round fantasy asset after finishing the 2025 regular season on an absolute tear.
  • LA Wide Receiver #12
Nacua’s touchdown came late in the fourth quarter to draw the two teams to a tie after the Falcons led 21-0 at the half. A late field goal by Atlanta kicker Zane Gonzalez stymied the comeback attempt as the Falcons avoided a repeat of their disastrous Super Bowl LI loss to the Patriots. Nacua drew lockdown coverage from lockdown corner A.J. Terrell for most of the night, narrowly overcoming it all with a would-be circus catch down the sideline with six seconds remaining that would have had the Rams in field goal range for a potential game-tying kick as time expired. It was ultimately ruled incomplete as he failed to maintain possession with one hand going to the ground. The third-year receiver doubled down on his breakout sophomore campaign and he’ll look to pad his counting stats further when the Rams take on the Cardinals to end their 2025 regular season in Week 18.
  • LA Quarterback #9
Stafford and the Rams started the game about as poorly as they could have, shut out in the first half for only the third time in head coach Sean McVay’s nine seasons in Los Angeles. The pitiful half also included two Stafford interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by rookie Xavier Watts. Watts would pick Stafford off for a second time in the second half and appeared to have returned another for a score but it was called back when he stepped out of bounds down the sideline on the return. Jared Verse helped turn the tides on the game with a blocked field goal in the third quarter that he also scooped for a special teams touchdown, but the Rams ultimately fell short on a last-minute field goal by Atlanta kicker Zane Gonzalez that halted what would have been the largest lead given up by the Falcons since Super Bowl LI when they lost in overtime to the Patriots after leading 21-0 at the half. There is a possibility that Stafford and other starters are rested in their final game of the regular season in Week 18 against the Cardinals now all but locked into the No. 6 seed in the NFC.
  • IND Quarterback #17
Riley Leonard came on in relief of Rivers late in the game to throw a game-ending Hail Mary intercpetion that Rivers certainly would not have been able to come close to the end zone on, and looks likely (per Ian Rapaport) to start against the Texans in Week 18 now that the Colts are eliminated. Rivers got by on guts and drops did hurt the cause, but at the end of the day, the 44-year-old called out of retirement to try to save the season played like a 44-year-old called out of retirement to try to save the season. He couldn’t get enough oomph on his deeper passes, and with the score tied at 17, threw a floating pick (that was tipped) to the Jaguars to guarantee us a few more minutes of Phil Rivers Trailing In the Fourth Quarter Of A One Score Game. A sack in which he stepped up into his own lineman’s back and butt put the Colts in fourth-and-long with three minutes left, they went for it and never saw the ball again. If this is it — again — Rivers proved competent enough that it was earnestly amazing in his three starts. But it ends as we all thought it would against a gauntlet of playoff-caliber opponents.
  • LAC Tight End #83
Vidal was curiously left off the team’s announcement on social media but was confirmed to be out by ESPN’s Adam Schefter a couple minutes later. That certainly shakes things up for the Chargers. Rookie Omarion Hampton should be in line for all the volume he can handle as the Chargers fight to keep pace with the Broncos in the AFC West. Hassan Haskins should continue to operate in the primary change of pace role.
  • DET Running Back #5
Montgomery was added to the injury report early Thursday morning with an illness but is apparently well enough to play against the Vikings. There is the potential for Jahmyr Gibbs to see a slight uptick in snaps and usage considering the illness. St. Brown saw his practice involvement monitored on the short week but is also active. Inactive for the Lions are OL Trystan Colon, OL Taylor Decker, DL Tyler Lacy, WR Dominic Lovett, S Avonte Maddox, OL Michael Niese, and DL Mekhi Wingo.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
Lions head coach Dan Campbell described St. Brown’s injury as “a little irritation” that should not sideline him for Christmas Day against the Vikings. St. Brown, who plays through all manner of injuries, should be a full go against Minnesota. He had nine catches for 97 yards on 13 targets the last time the Lions played the Vikings.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
St. Brown would go on to post a limited session on Tuesday following his Monday DNP, but otherwise it all sounds like good news for St. Brown and fantasy managers who will want him available for Week 17’s game against the Vikings. St. Brown would be an easy WR1 as long as he makes it to the active line, but there is probably a non-zero chance that he gets extra rest in this one, especially if the Lions are able to put Max Brosmer to bed early.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
It’s an estimated report, but it’s a new listing. St. Brown played through the entire game with the injury, notably being called for a game-ending offensive pass interference penalty on the final play. Lions coach Dan Campbell said he’s “hopeful it’s just irritation from yesterday’s game.” This will be a developing situation to watch ahead of Week 17’s finals in most leagues. We’d tentatively expect St. Brown to play based on him finishing last week’s game and the Lions absolutely needing the game to stay alive in the playoff chase, but it is a short week.
