Trae Young shot 11-of-26 from the field and 9-of-11 from the foul line in Sunday’s 129-121 loss to the Celtics, accumulating 35 points, three rebounds, 15 assists, two steals, and four 3-pointers in 41 minutes.
Young may not have shot the ball as well as he would have liked, but this was still a very good floor game for him. He surpassed the 30-point mark for the second consecutive game, and the 15 assists were countered by just one turnover. Atlanta’s offense wasn’t the problem in Game 4; the defense was. Boston shot nearly 52% from the field and made 16 3-pointers, proving to have too much firepower for the Hawks to deal with. In order to extend the series past Tuesday’s Game 5, the Hawks are going to need stellar performances from Young and Murray, at a minimum. Murray shot 9-of-20 from the field in Game 4, finishing with 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, one blocked shot, and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
